MAZDA6 2019 model is in Malaysia now

The MAZDA6 has been updated for 2019. It now comes equipped with enhancements to its driving dynamics as well as to comfort and convenience.

For driving dynamics, the MAZDA6 now comes equipped with G-Vectoring Control Plus (GVC Plus). The original G-Vectoring Control, the first technology in the SKYACTIV-Vehicle Dynamics series, was the world’s first control system to vary engine torque in response to steering inputs in order to provide integrated control of lateral and longitudinal acceleration forces and optimize the vertical load on each wheel for smooth and efficient vehicle motion.

GVC Plus uses the brakes to add direct yaw moment control for further enhanced handling stability. As the driver steers out of a corner by returning the steering wheel to the center position, GVC Plus applies a light braking force to the outer wheels, providing a stabilizing moment that helps restore the vehicle to straight line running. The system realizes consistently smooth transitions between yaw, roll and pitch even under high cornering forces, improving the vehicle’s ability to accurately track sudden steering inputs and crisply exit corners. In addition to improving handling in emergency collision avoidance manoeuvres, GVC Plus offers a reassuring feeling of control when changing lanes on the highway and when driving on slippery road surfaces.

As for comfort and convenience, the MAZDA6 now also receives Apple CarPlay® and Android Auto® as standard.  It is accessible via its MAZDA CONNECT Infotainment display.  With the increase in popularity of smartphones from Apple and Android, customers can now experience more seamless connectivity – by accessing integrated apps such as Waze®/Google® Maps, Spotify®, and other phone functions.

By applying the human-centered development philosophy to all kinds of common driving situations, Mazda will continue to pursue the kind of driving joy that allows both the driver and his or her passengers to feel at one with the car.

The MAZDA6 is currently CBU from Japan and is available in three engine choices; SKYACTIV-G 2.0L & 2.5L and SKYACTIV-D 2.2L.  All are paired with SKYACTIV-DRIVE 6-Speed Automatic transmission with Manual Shift mode.

The colour line-up includes Soul Red Crystal, Machine Gray, Deep Crystal Blue, Sonic Silver, Titanium Flash, Jet Black and Snowflake White Pearl; making a total of 7 colours available.

Selling prices for the new MAZDA6 start from RM 173,659.00. The Mazda6 will be showcased at Bangsar Shopping Centre starting from September 11 to September 15, 2019 alongside with a wide range of Mazda models.
