Lotus Cars Reopens In Malaysia This Month

Yes, it is true, while the lockdown order runs in Malaysia and a good chance of an extension coming, there is a new business startup in Malaysia that has introduced the Lotus Car brand to Malaysia. Lotus is owned by Chinese car company Geely and Geely owns part of Proton and yet they have decided not to open a Lotus Cars showroom in Malaysia and instead a private company has taken the Lotus Cars franchises and have received full manufacturers Approved Permit (AP) from the Ministry of Trade and Industry to import brand new Lotus Cars to Malaysia.

Also, Lotus owner Geely is not setting up office as yet in Malaysia and this is why we have a private business group that has decided to bring back this brand to Malaysia. The business starts with the current Lotus Cars model lineup and soon the all new Lotus models will be filling up their showroom.
