This particular variant of the Alfa Romeo SUV is supposedly the sportiest of the regular Stelvios yet.
The Alfa Romeo Stelvio model lineup is to get just a little bit more crowded in the year to come, as the Italian automaker has just announced the addition of the new Veloce Ti trim level to its sporty SUV beginning from the 2021 model year.
Sitting just below the full-fat Quadrifoglio variant, this new Veloce Ti variant supposedly marks the top-of-the line regular Stelvio lineup. Think of it then as the M340i variant as compared to the M3 if you will.
As such, the Veloce Ti does not come with the howling 510 hp twin-turbocharged V6 as in its performance Stelvio Quadrifoglio counterpart. Instead under the hood of this particular variant is the more modest 2.0 litre Euro 6d-compliant turbocharged petrol four-cylinder, that is mated to an 8-speed automatic transmission and a Q4 all-wheel drive system.
Nevertheless, there are still some similarities between this Veloce Ti variant and its Quadrifoglio cousin. The engine for instance, which incidentally puts out a healthy 280 hp, is built entirely from aluminium. Furthermore, as per the sporty Quadrifoglio, a carbon fibre drive shaft is to be found within the Veloce Ti.
Continuing on with the Quadrifoglio theme, the Veloce Ti also features various interior accents that echo the true performance Stelvio variant. These include aluminium gear shift paddles, sports seats wrapped in leather and Alcantara, a black headlining and real carbon fibre accents. Dark tones are also featured in the window surrounds, tinted windows and the exterior badging.
Moving on to the outside meanwhile, the Veloce Ti variant distinguishes itself from other hum-drum Stelvio trim levels thanks to an exclusive body coloured body kit and a new rear bumper design with a specific diffuser. 21-inch five-hole alloy wheels are available too on this trim level, debuting here first before it eventually trickles down to the rest of the range.
Speaking of the rest of the range, all Stelvio and Giulia models produced from the 2021 model year onwards will feature Euro 6d-final compliant power plants, not to mention a full suite of Alfa Connect Services. A complete set of Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS) will also be available on select Giulia and Stelvio models, thereby enabling Level 2 autonomous driving on models equipped with this feature.
Prices for the Stelvio Veloce Ti have yet to be announced yet. Seeing however as the current normal Stelvio tops out at £45,390 in the UK (RM 248,000), conservative estimates place this new variant to be priced just slightly above that.

The Alfa Romeo Stelvio Veloce Ti features a new rear bumper with a specific diffuser, body coloured body kit and optional new 21-inch five-hole alloy wheels with a dark finish, making their debut here before they become available on other trim levels. The interior echoes the Quadrifoglio versions with aluminium gearshift paddles, sporty seats in leather and Alcantara, black headlining and real carbon fibre accents. Dark tones are also featured in the window surrounds, tinted windows and the exterior badging.
The Stelvio Veloce Ti comes fitted with the 280hp 2.0-litre Turbo petrol engine, paired with an 8-speed automatic transmission and Q4 all-wheel drive. Its four cylinders are built entirely of aluminum, with a carbon fibre drive shaft.
New MY21 range
Alongside the introduction of the Stelvio Veloce Ti, MY21 will see the Giulia and Stelvio ranges updated with Euro 6d-final compliant engines, as well as seeing a full suite of Alfa Connect Services available across the range. Some of the packs now available include:
- My Assistant offers an SOS call function, so in the event of a collision or emergency, occupants can send an emergency request to the call centre, transmitting the position and identification of the vehicle
- My Remote allows remote control of the car’s functions (opening/closing doors or flashing the lights) via smartphone, communication with Amazon Alexa and Google Home assistants, vehicle location, control of certain parameters (speed and area) and notifications if these are not respected
- My Car monitors the health of the car at all times
- My Navigation allows customer to remotely search for destinations and Points of Interest (POI), as well as real-time alerts on traffic and speedcams, while Send & Go can send a destination directly from a smartphone or web portal to the car
- My Wi-Fi shares the internet connection between multiple devices on board, up to a maximum of eight
- My Theft Assistance alerts the owner if theft is attempted
