Hyundai Brings Its N EVs To Borneo With New Kuching 3S Centre

This new Kuching 3S outlet is part of the 25 Hyundai facilities it plans to open in Malaysia by end-2026.
Hyundai has continued its dealership expansion into East Malaysia, with the recent official opening of a new 3S outlet in Kuching. Operated by long-time automotive retailer Heng Lian Enterprise Bhd, the new facility forms part of the company’s nationwide network growth strategy, which aims to establish 25 outlets across Malaysia by the end of 2026.
Located along Jalan Abell in Padungan, the new Hyundai Kuching dealership was officially opened by Kuching South City Council Mayor Dato Wee Hong Seng. The expansion also aligns with the South Korean automaker’s Sentiasa di sisi anda brand promise, which focuses on bringing its products and aftersales support closer to customers nationwide.

This new 7,500 sq-ft 3S facility is designed to showcase Hyundai’s core line-up, currently comprising the Santa Fe, Tucson and Staria. Though as the headline above might have already hinted, the bigger news here is that Hyundai Kuching has also been appointed as East Malaysia’s exclusive Hyundai N dealer.
This thus means customers across Borneo can now purchase and service Hyundai’s recently introduced high-performance EVs, including the IONIQ 5 N and IONIQ 6 N that made their Malaysian debut during KLIMS 2026.

And to celebrate the grand opening, Heng Lian Enterprise is running a month-long Grand Launch Lucky Draw from 26 June until 26 July 2026. Customers who complete a test drive will receive one lucky draw entry, while those who place a booking will receive two additional entries.
Prizes include a Samsung Galaxy S26 smartphone as the grand prize, alongside Hamel window tint packages, dashcams, Hyundai merchandise and a host of other exclusive rewards.

The celebrations also extend to existing Hyundai owners through a series of aftersales promotions. These include complimentary 20-point vehicle health inspections, RM 100 Shell engine oil vouchers, a fixed RM 50 labour rate for servicing, selected café vouchers with qualifying service bills, as well as complimentary body kits for the first 10 eligible 2020-onwards Starex owners.

Speaking during the opening ceremony, Hyundai Motor Malaysia Managing Director Jahabarnisa Haja Mohideen described Sarawak as an increasingly important market for the brand, adding that Kuching’s growing customer base made it a natural choice for further expansion while improving access to Hyundai’s smart premium vehicles and customer services throughout East Malaysia.
Dealer Principal Sylvia Ng added that the objective was to create a modern showroom where customers could enjoy a seamless ownership experience, whether purchasing their first Hyundai or returning for routine servicing and maintenance.
