Perodua Ativa Spotted With GearUp Bodykit

The Ativa is set to receive its very own line of factory Perodua GearUp accessories.

While the Perodua Ativa has yet to be officially launched yet, stories surrounding its imminent arrival has been coming in thick and fast. The latest of which is the recent spotting of one of these compact crossovers decked out in a full GearUp bodykit.

Starting with the shot of the front of this Ativa, we see that the GearUp bodykit will bring with it a body-coloured front bumper extension that comes complete with what looks like twin chrome fangs surrounding four chrome ‘teeth’ that are situated along the front air intake. This is all perhaps in the aim of giving this Perodua compact crossover a more aggressive front end aesthetic that the automaker seems to be going for.

Speaking of the front end aesthetic, incidentally from these images too we do finally get a preview of what the front Ativa will look like. Having already had roughly an idea what this Perodua will look like courtesy of the Daihatsu Rocky on which it is based, what we do learn here is that the Malaysian-ised compact crossover will sport a larger hexagonal front grille that touches both the inner sides of its LED headlights as compared to its Japanese counterpart, not to mention a slightly more pronounced inverted L-shaped black plastic trim that surrounds the revised fog light.

Now going back to the topic of the bodykit and moving to the back meanwhile, a rear bumper extension that is similar in design to the front is observed. Featuring a similar fang-like design as the front bumper extensions that surrounds the number plate, and twin-flattened fake tailpipes beneath it.

According to a leaked GearUp brochure obtained by the folks over at Funtasticko, this bodykit seen here is to be known as the Blaze bodykit, and will set customers back RM 2,500 for the privilege of having it installed on their Ativa. Other Blaze seat covers (RM 800), rear bumper protector (RM 140), LED scuff plates (RM 260), floor lighting (RM 140), a luggage net (RM 30), and even a hood insulator (RM 80).

Additionally, there is also to be a Utility package as part of the factory optional accessories available for the Ativa. Consisting of door visors, a luggage tray and coil mats, this package is said to cost RM 360 according to the leaked brochure.

The Ativa is now open to bookings at all authorised Perodua dealerships nationwide. Powered by a 1.0 litre turbocharged three-cylinder engine, three trim levels are available with prices ranging from RM 62,500 to RM 73,400 (inclusive of SST exemption).
