Exeed Lingyun Launched In China From USD21,200

The Lingyun is looking very stylish and only missing a right hand drive variant for South East Asia launch. CarNewsChina has reported that the 2023 Exeed Lingyun has just launched in.

Exeed is a sub brand of premium SUVs under the Chery Automotive brand and the 2023 Exeed Lingyun was launched on 6 September 2022 in five separate variants ranging from RMB147,900 to RMB182,900, or roughly USD 21,200 to USD26,200.

Two new colours were also added, namely Aurora Green and Starry Silver.

The 2023 Exeed Lingyun measures 4,780mm in length, 1,885mm in width and 1,730mm in height and has a wheelbase of 2,800mm and is very roomy so it can comfortably fit 4 adults or 2 adults and 3 kids even for long distance drives.

Moreover, the exterior of the 2023 Exeed Lingyun commands presence on the road and has the word “Exeed” on the front and rear centre of the vehicle prominently displayed, a large grille, sharp headlights, chrome around the windows and rear spoiler to add a sporty feel to the car. It also comes in 235/50R19 Continental tyres.

As for the interior, the 2023 Exeed Lingyun is rather simple compared to most new Chinese vehicles but I prefer it as it does not look so futuristic and boring since all interiors are looking very similar these days.

There is an actual gear shifter on the centre console with a digital driver display and central infotainment screen.

On top of that, there is a three spoke flat-bottom steering wheel along with air conditioning vents below the infotainment screen and knobs for what I presume are the climate control. The whole interior is finished in blue suede and is very classy to me. The front passenger seat also has extended leg support and a massage function.

The 2023 Exeed Lingyun comes with a sunroof and is equipped with level 2 Advanced Driver Assistance Systems and comes in two engine options both paired to a 7-speed dual-clutch gearbox.

The two engine options are a 1.6 turbo petrol or a 2.0 turbo petrol with the former option producing 145kW of power and 300Nm of torque and the latter producing 192kW of power and 400Nm of torque.
