BYD has recently opened a 3S centre in Kota Kinabalu, and this outlet is incidentally to be the first of its kind in East Malaysia. Operated by its authorised dealership Regas EV Sabah, this new milestone has been said to be a significant step forward in bringing the Chinese automaker’s ‘cutting-edge electric mobility and low-carbon solutions closer to the people of Sabah’.
Situated along Jalan Lintas at Lot 33, Sedco Industrial Estate, this state-of-the-art 3S in Kota Kinabalu facility spans an impressive 1,288 square meters and is said to offer a full spectrum of services including sales consultations, vehicle test drives and aftersales support.
More importantly too in promoting EV usage over there, BYD Kota Kinabalu proudly stands out as one of the first EV outlet in Sabah equipped with two DC Super Charger units featuring four charging guns. These advanced chargers deliver up to 180 kW of power, enabling a fast and efficient charging experience for customers.
In addition to the newly launched 3S Centre in Kota Kinabalu meanwhile, Regas EV Auto has opened a new BYD showroom in Sibu, Sarawak, complementing the existing showroom in Kuching. This brings the total number of showrooms in East Malaysia to 3, and the nationwide total to 29. There are further to be two authorised BYD Body & Paint facilities in East Malaysia, located Kuching and Kota Kinabalu respectively.

There are currently five models in BYD’s local lineup, with all of them to incidentally be fully electric. This includes the Dolphin hatchback, Atto 3 small SUV, Seal sedan, as well as the recently revealed M6 MPV and Sealion 7 mid-sized SUV.
