Ducati Malaysia Unveils Scrambler 1100 PRO and Sport PRO

The top-of-the-line Scramblers from Ducati land in Malaysia.

Aside from the Streetfighter successors launched today, Next Bike Sdn. Bhd, the official Ducati distributor locally, has also unveiled a pair of top-tier Scrambler models in the form of the Scrambler 1100 PRO and 1100 Sport PRO models. An evolution of the Ducati Scrambler “Land of Joy” philosophy, these new PRO models that are based on the existing Scrambler 1100 promise enhanced riding fun.

Starting with the Scrambler 1100 PRO, a new two-tone “Ocean Drive” colour scheme overlays a black steel Trellis frame and rear aluminium subframe, in addition to the black aluminium covers. A framed headlight with a black metal X incorporated within it was inspired by the 70s era protective adhesive tape stuck onto bike headlights at the time.

Continuing on the aesthetics of the bike, a 15 litre steel fuel tank blends into a plush seat that now features an enhanced coating, ensuring comfort on even the longest rides. A new dual tailpipe that exits on the right side and a low-slung number plate holder completes the coiled, compact styling of the Scrambler.

Stepping up to the 1100 Sport PRO meanwhile nets desirable Öhlins suspension on both the front and the rear, as well as low-slung handlebars and Café Racer rear-view mirrors. This is of course in addition to all the aesthetic touches on the 1100 PRO, though now a matte black colour scheme with a painted 1100 logo replaces the two-tone paint job.

On the powertrain front, both Scrambler 1100 PRO variants launched today are powered by the same 1079 cm³ L-twin two-valve engine. Outputting a maximum power of 86 hp at 7,500 rpm and a maximum torque of 88.4 Nm at 4,750 rpm. Other similarities between the variants include the electronics, as both Scrambler PRO trims feature Ducati Traction Control (DTC) and ABS Cornering. Three standard riding modes (Active, Journey and City) are also available, allowing riders to tailor their Scramblers to suit each rider’s riding style.

Prices for the Ducati Scrambler 1100 PRO and 1100 Sport PRO are RM75,900.00 and RM80,900.00 respectively. Both variants are now available for viewing and booking at authorised Ducati dealerships nationwide.

PRESS RELEASE: More fun, more performance, more Scrambler. Featuring an original design, the new Ducati Scrambler 1100 PRO and 1100 Sport PRO models are sculpted for those who want the exhilaration of a 1079 cm³ engine packing generous torque right from the bottom of the rev range, and a 15-litre steel tank that, combined with a plush seat with enhanced coating, ensures that even the longest ride is as comfortable as it is exciting.

The fun is guaranteed on the new Ducati Scrambler 1100 PRO and Sport PRO, thanks to their iconic styling and sense of freedom, together with high levels of agility and safety. Created for those who love riding within and beyond the city streets, even with a passenger, these new models further evolve the Ducati Scrambler “Land Of Joy” philosophy.

The Ducati Scrambler 1100 PRO stands out for its new two-tone “Ocean Drive” colour scheme, combined with a steel Trellis frame and rear aluminium subframe, both finished in black. The aluminium covers are also black. A new right-side dual tailpipe and low-slung plate holder ensure distinctive rear-end styling and, together with the new livery, give the bike a coiled, compact look. Another hallmark is the framed headlight; inspired by the protective adhesive tape used back in the ‘70s, a black metal “X” has been incorporated inside the headlight: a detail that makes the bike instantly identifiable, even with the lights off.

The Ducati Scrambler 1100 Sport PRO is the beefiest version in the Scrambler family. It features all the styling details of the PRO, but also a unique equipment set with Öhlins suspension, low-slung handlebars and Café Racer rear-view mirrors. The 1100 Sport PRO also features a Matt Black colour scheme, complemented by side panels sporting a painted 1100 logo.

Both Ducati Scrambler 1100 PRO variants are also at the forefront of electronics. They are equipped with Ducati Traction Control (DTC), regulated specifically for these models, and ABS Cornering, which ensure safety on every bend. The three standard Riding Modes (Active, Journey and City) help even less experienced riders to find the right balance in the use of electronic components by choosing their riding style.

The Ducati Scrambler 1100 PRO and Scrambler 1100 Sport PRO are priced at RM75,900.00 and RM80,900.00 respectively.
