The recognition by SIRIM QAS International, Malaysia’s leading certification, inspection and testing body, is touted by the Chinese automaker as proof of its ‘commitment to quality and compliance to the highest performance and safety standards’.
“This achievement signifies more than a certification; it reflects Malaysia’s progress in adopting globally recognized safety and quality standards. SIRIM QAS is honoured to play a part in supporting Chery Malaysia’s journey toward sustainable mobility solutions,” said Nur Fadhilah binti Muhammad, Chief Executive Officer of SIRIM QAS International Sdn. Launched locally earlier this year, the Omoda E5 is currently Chery’s only all-electric vehicle offered to the Malaysian market. This e-SUV retails for RM 146,800, but the automaker incidentally running a promotion at present that further slashes that aforementioned figure by up to RM 11,000.
