The classic Mini made its debut in the summer of 1959 and to celebrate its 60th Anniversary in 2019, Mini owners and the many clubs are celebrating all year round. For Malaysian Mini owners the celebration has just started with this first ever gathering of this scale in the historic Malaysian city of Malacca.
From the pictures take by our buddy and Mini owner, Aris Dzulkifli, we can see that there were Mini of all years, model and type, but this showing of Mini owners were just a handful of the Minis running around the country.
There are thousands of well restored hand me down Mini’s in Malaysia from the start to the early 70’s when the British Leyland Mini was discontinued.
The modern day BMW produce Mini have been a sales success from the first ever model till today and nearly all variations have seen sales success.
