Lancia Gamma Debuts At Paris Motor Show With Hybrid And Electric Powertrains

Lancia has unveiled the new Gamma at the 2026 Paris Motor Show, marking the return of its flagship nameplate after 50 years. The new model is a fastback crossover built on Stellantis’ STLA Medium platform.
The Gamma measures 4,672 mm long, 1,898 mm wide and 1,635 mm tall. Production takes place at Stellantis’ Melfi plant in Italy, following a €43 million investment in the facility.
The model arrives as Lancia marks its 120th anniversary. The original Gamma debuted in 1976 and was designed by Pininfarina.

Fastback design and aerodynamic features
The new Gamma features an illuminated Lancia Calice front signature and T-shaped rear lights. Its design also includes a split rear spoiler, active front grille and distinctive rear aerodynamic fins.
Lancia claims a drag coefficient of 0.25, alongside rolling resistance of 4.7 kg per tonne. The company says these features help improve efficiency and reduce wind noise.
The crossover has a 2,791 mm wheelbase on electric versions and offers 217 mm of ground clearance according to the main specifications. Its luggage compartment holds up to 560 litres.
Interior focuses on comfort and technology
The cabin follows Lancia’s Italian Home Feeling concept, with a dashboard design inspired by contemporary Italian furniture. A central console element resembling a coffee table sits alongside ambient lighting and an available panoramic roof.
The dashboard combines a 10.25-inch digital instrument cluster with a 16-inch central touchscreen. A 21-inch virtual head-up display is also available.
The SALA HUB voice assistant uses ChatGPT technology to respond to natural-language requests. Other features include Relax, Energize and Entertainment modes, plus a 14-speaker SALA Studio Hi-Fi system developed with Focal.
Lancia says more than 60% of the visible interior surfaces use sustainable materials. These include recycled fabrics, recycled carpets and bio-based materials.
Hybrid and electric powertrains
The Gamma range includes a 1.2-litre three-cylinder hybrid producing 145 hp. It uses a six-speed transmission and a 48V battery system, with a claimed driving range exceeding 1,000 km.
The fully electric lineup offers three configurations:
- Electric Standard Range: 230 hp, a 73.7 kWh battery and more than 540 km of claimed WLTP range.
- Electric Long Range: 245 hp, a 97.2 kWh battery and more than 740 km of claimed WLTP range.
- HF Integrale Long Range AWD: 350 hp, rising to 375 hp with the battery above 90% charge, and 509 Nm of torque.
The HF Integrale accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in 5.1 seconds and offers up to 676 km of claimed range. It also features dual motors, all-wheel drive and adaptive suspension.
For electric versions, DC fast charging from 20% to 80% takes as little as 27 minutes. The Gamma also supports one-pedal driving, route planning with charging stops, battery preconditioning and Vehicle-to-Load functionality.
Three trim levels and driver assistance
The Gamma lineup comprises LS, LX and HF trims. Hybrid models receive HF Line versions, while the electric range includes the HF Integrale.
Level 2 driver assistance includes semi-automated lane changes, predictive adaptive cruise control and anticipated intelligent speed adaptation. Pixel LED headlights are standard on LX and HF versions.
Lancia has not announced pricing in the supplied release. The new Gamma is designed primarily for the European market, with deliveries and market-specific details to be confirmed.
