Hyundai Motor Malaysia (HMY) has finally launched the Hyundai STARGAZER today after teasing for so long. Positioned as ‘The WEhicle’, the STARGAZER is built for the hectic family life as suggested by the ‘WE’ in ‘WEhicle’. This MPV provides space, comfort and high-end technology made to keep the driver and passengers as safe as possible.
With 7-seats depending on the model the STARGAZER has plenty of room for the entire family with space to spare. On top of that, the car also has more features such as the cargo box with lid, foldable tables at the back of the seats a multimedia player, and multiple USB ports throughout the car. The wireless charging and Electronic Parking Brake with Auto Hold is also a nice plus. All these features give this car extra flexibility to adapt to any situation that may arise.
The STARGAZER has three variants with each different features:
- STARGAZER Style
Priced at RM99,800, this variant is the cheapest STARGAZER variant offering a 7-seat 2+3+2 layout, LED headlamps, and an 8-inch multimedia player with a 4.2-inch TFT LCD Meter Colour Cluster and 16-inch alloy wheels.
- STARGAZER Prime
Priced at RM109,800, this variant places a big focus on safety. With all the same features of the STARGAZER Style, the STARGAZER Prime has six airbags as opposed to the two airbags in the Style variant. STARGAZER Prime also has Hyundai SmartSense advanced driver assistance technologies (ADAS 2.0) and upgrades the dual displays to be 10.25-inches.
- STARGAZER X
With a price of RM121,800, the STARGAZER X is the most expensive of the STARGAZER variants with a bigger focus on comfort. This variant only has a 6-seat 2+2+2 layout in contrast to the other variants with each seat having a captain-chair configuration and full leatherette seat covers. The Shift-By-Wire transmission control is also not something to gloss over.
HMY is offering an Early Bird Value Package at RM4,600 available for all purchases made during the launch period. This package also comes with a RM1,000 All-Star Reward program, with existing Hyundai customers getting an additional RM1,000 rebate when buying the Hyundai STARGAZER. The 8 year/ 160,000km warranty will be offered to all customers regardless of when the car is bought.
HMY also announced a Resale Value Protection (RVP) Programme for the STARGAZER where buyers are guaranteed:
- 70% value of the retail price in the third year, up to 60,000km mileage
- 60% value of the retail price in the fourth year, up to 80,000km mileage
- 50% value of the retail price in the fifth year, up to 100,000km mileage
Buyers should note that this guarantee trade-in value has to go towards buying a new Hyundai vehicle.
