BYD Launches Enhanced 2026 SEALION 7 with New Dynamic Variant
Expanded line-up brings longer range, faster charging and a more accessible entry point for Malaysian EV buyers
BYD Sime Motors has introduced the enhanced 2026 BYD SEALION 7 in Malaysia, expanding its flagship electric SUV line-up with the addition of the new Dynamic variant alongside upgraded Premium and Performance models. The refreshed range offers longer driving range, faster charging and greater accessibility, catering to the evolving needs of Malaysian EV buyers.
Since its debut in 2024, the BYD SEALION 7 has become Malaysia’s best-selling D-segment electric SUV, with more than 6,300 units delivered nationwide. For 2026, the model adopts the tagline “Pinnacle of Performance, Redefined FURTHER for Tomorrow,” reflecting improvements in range, convenience, accessibility and ownership confidence.
The new Dynamic variant makes the SEALION 7 range more attainable, offering a rear-wheel-drive layout with 170kW of power, 380Nm of torque, a 520km (NEDC) driving range and 0–100km/h acceleration in 7.3 seconds. Meanwhile, the Premium variant receives a larger 91.39kWh Blade Battery, extending its range to 650km (NEDC), while DC fast charging has been upgraded to 230kW. The range-topping Performance variant combines 390kW and 690Nm with all-wheel drive, enabling 0–100km/h in just 4.5 seconds while offering up to 600km of driving range.
All variants are built on BYD’s e-Platform 3.0 and come equipped with Blade Battery technology, a comprehensive Advanced Driver Assistance System (ADAS) suite, intelligent connectivity features and a premium black interior. The Premium variant also gains an exclusive new Ultraviolet exterior colour.
The 2026 BYD SEALION 7 is priced from RM163,800 for the Dynamic variant, RM188,800 for the Premium, and RM203,800 for the Performance. As a launch promotion, the first 300 customers purchasing the Dynamic variant can enjoy a special price of RM159,800 after RM4,000 in savings, while exclusive promotions are available across the entire range.
The new SEALION 7 is now available for viewing at BYD’s “BEYOND YOUR DRIVE” roadshow at 1 Utama and at authorised BYD showrooms nationwide.
