Sell Sell Sell And Lousy After Sales Is The NEW Norm
The need to push metal is more important over good after sales in todays automotive market

We have seen how Malaysians and also the rest of ASEAN nations have a huge thirst for shiny new cars and little emphasis on after sales to keep the customer happy.
With board room management ‘pushing’ sales people hard to achieve rising sales targets, the after sales program has slowly taken a back seat despite the fast rising issues with modern cars.
Yes, modern cars maybe be shiny and full of cabin features to attract the ‘punters’ however this new cabin technology is ‘failing’ faster with every new model.
We are not here to name and shame the auto brands that are having mounting after sales issues but we are here to remind them that it will result in lower repeat business from existing customers.
It is now very common to overhear in restaurants and cafes the issues car owners are having with after sales and the feedback on social media is getting more rapid.
Then there are new brands coming into our Malaysian market and making statements to the media that sound really ‘out of this world’.
Let us share.
- We offer a lifetime warranty on our vehicles. So, what really is the lifetime of your vehicle, 5 or 6 or maybe 10 years? Will you be here in 5 or 6 or even 9 years and 11 months’ time for the warranty to be claimed?
- We do not have a spare parts inventory as our cars don’t need any maintenance. So, you discovered how to make a car as good as a Rolls Royce and sell it for just 5 percent of the Rolls Royce asking price. This means Rolls Royce has been overcharging its customers?
- Our car dealers do not need to set up any after sales or workshop as we will send all vehicles with issues to third party workshops. So, what you are saying is that your car is easily fixed by any mechanic and they need no special training and no special tools. This means you have a generic powertrain and features that is copied or shared with a reputable and well established car manufacturer.
Now, some of you reading this might think the above sounds absurd, but its true and only www.dsf.my is willing to share the truth. The rest will take the advertising dollar and just tell it what the car manufacturer instructs them to say.
It’s just like Malaysian politics. Keep the voters happy with ‘fairy tales’.
Now its time for Malaysia to get Lemon Law as fast as possible to prevent many Malaysian car buyers from going broke with their car payments.
Interestingly, please also take note that if you see NO test drive reviews and NO overseas junket coverage of some auto brands in www.automacha.com and www.dsf.my, its because we have been sharing the TRUTH about some auto brands whilst many of the media and influencers remain on their active and fat marketing payroll.
