BMW AG And Airconsole Working Together For Owners
Airconsole is now available in selected electric BMW vehicles
Who wants a game with BMW In-Car Gaming? This is the BMW AirConsole and it is an in-car gaming platform that allows passengers to play video games on the car’s display using their smartphones as controllers.
The AirConsole platform, which utilizes smartphones as controllers, will allow drivers and passengers to enjoy a variety of games directly on the BMW Curved Display. This partnership aims to transform waiting situations, like charging, into enjoyable moments.
It’s integrated into the car’s entertainment system and accessed through the “AirConsole Games” app, which is available for BMW models with Operating System 8.5 (or later) or Operating System 9.
So how does it work?
Access the app: Open the “AirConsole Games” app within the BMW’s infotainment system.
Connect your phone: Scan a QR code displayed on the car’s screen using the AirConsole app on your smartphone, or manually enter a code.
Select and play: Choose from a variety of games using your phone as the controller.
Multiplayer: Many games support multiplayer, allowing up to five players to participate using their phones.

With AirConsole, players can play so-called casual games. These are games that are easy to pick up and play and intuitive to control. The selection available for the market introduction of the new BMW 5 Series saloon includes racing, sports, quiz and music quiz games as well as simulation, strategy, jump-and-run and puzzle games.
The 15 or so titles available to play from the start include “Go Kart Go”, “Golazo”, “Music Guess” and “Overcooked”. The portfolio of available games will be continually expanded.
