GWM Malaysia has recently announced that it has delivered of its 500th TANK 300 4×4 locally. This achievement comes 8 months after its initial local launch in July last year, and 6 months after the first 100 units made its way to aspirational off-roaders over here.

The Tank 300 in Malaysia is powered by 2.0-litre turbocharged 4-cylinder petrol engine, which outputs 220 PS and 380 Nm of torque. Drive is meanwhile delivered via a ZF-sourced eight-speed automatic transmission and a dual-speed electronically-controlled part-time four-wheel drive system (with selectable 2H, 4H and 4L modes), with its off-roading chops further complemented by electronically-controlled differential locks on both its front and rear axles.
As for the on-road toys on the other hand, the GWM TANK 300 comes equipped with Level 2 Driving Assistance with smart driving assistants including Lane Departure Warning (LDW), Adaptive Cruise Control (ACC), and Highway Assist (HWA).
