This new GAC 3S outlet in Bayan Lepas is to be the automaker’s inaugural facility on Penang island.
GAC has recently strengthen its local footprint up north, with the launch of a state-of-the-art 3S centre in Penang’s Bayan Lepas area. Located just five minutes from Penang International Airport, this latest outlet marks a significant expansion of Chinese automaker’s automotive services in Malaysia’s northern region.
The comprehensive facility spans over 7,900 square feet, and features a 2,045-square-foot showroom displaying the complete current GAC and AION vehicle lineup. The attached service centre meanwhile occupies 5,897 square feet and houses 10 fully equipped service bays staffed by certified technicians, ensuring professional maintenance and repair services.
Modern amenities at this newly-opened outlet includes a dedicated customer lounge equipped with WiFi connectivity and complimentary refreshments, allowing customers to work remotely while their vehicles undergo service. The facility also features a 7kW EV charger specifically for AION vehicle owners, demonstrating GAC’s commitment to supporting electric mobility.
The outlet maintains customer-friendly operating hours, with the showroom open seven days a week – 8:30 AM to 7:00 PM on weekdays and 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM on weekends and public holidays. The service centre on the other hand operates Monday through Saturday from 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM.
This expansion represents GAC’s dedication to enhancing customer experience and service accessibility in Malaysia’s northern region. The new 3S center, operated by WariTan Automobile Sdn Bhd, combines sales, service, and spare parts facilities under one roof, providing comprehensive automotive solutions for GAC and AION vehicle owners.
Mr. Tan Keng Meng, CEO of Warisan TC Holdings Bhd, emphasizes the strategic importance of this expansion: “The northern region shows increasing demand for premium automotive services. This new 3S centre strengthens our presence and ensures superior service delivery to our growing customer base.”
