Honda Malaysia Debuts New Special Edition Of The WR-V RS

The Honda WR-V RS Special Edition retails for RM 107,900 and is limited to only 99 units locally.

While the flagship RS spec of Honda’s WR-V (Winsome Runabout Vehicle) already brings with it a bit of bling from its exclusive chromed front grille and dual-tone 17-inch alloys, those with the desire for something that little bit sportier though can now go for the newly-launched Special Edition version of this compact Japanese crossover.

Limited to only 99 units locally, this limited-run of factory-modded WR-V RS Special Edition has most notably brought with it a few exterior additions to further deem it worthy of that sporting trim name. Among the add-ons to the outside of this compact Honda crossover include under spoilers that go all around the vehicle, in addition to a chrome tailpipe finisher for its single-exit exhaust and SE badging on its rump.

Moving on inside meanwhile, the Special Edition adds to the existing WR-V RS a chromed rear panel lining cover and rear step garnishes. Honda has also since thrown in a front dash cam, and that’s essentially all the extra goodies with this limited-edition version.

Now for the true Honda WR-V nerds here, it is certainly that all the kit that has been added on to this Special Edition is essentially what was already available as the Modulo Accessories Package. Though while this bundle of bits from Honda used to retail for RM 3+ k, going for this limited edition means that one could have all the goodies, but pay no more than the regular RS variant!

Such is as the WR-V RS Special Edition currently retails for RM 107,900, which is to be exactly the same as the non-limited edition version of this compact crossover. The only catch with this is that Honda has only offering this deal with only one colour option: Stellar Diamond Pearl.

All variants of the WR-V in Malaysia currently packs under their hood a 1.5 litre naturally-aspirated DOHC i-VTEC four pot, which sends 121 PS and 145 Nm of torque through a CVT to its front wheels. Among the distinguishing features of the RS spec (on which this Special Edition is based upon) over its less high-end counterparts includes LED DRLs and fog lights on its exterior, as well as paddle shifters and a six-speaker sound system within its red-accented combination leather-lined cabin.

The WR-V RS Special Edition is currently available for viewing at all its dealerships starting 12 September 2024, and will incidentally be joined soon by a similarly limited-edition version of the City V that is to land later next week.
