Quill Is No Longer The Rolls Royce Distributor In Malaysia

Who will be the next Rolls Royce distributor in Malaysia

Back in 2010, Quill Motorcars Sdn Bhd was awarded the Rolls Royce distributorship and dealership for Malaysia and the premium showroom has been located along the high traffic street of Jalan Semangat, in Petaling Jaya. This premium showroom is part of the prestigious Quill 9 building.

With a long standing successful property business, Quill management pushed the Rolls Royce business along steadily for years with huge success until recently.

Yes, in the past year there have been some internal management issues and we have heard slowing sales (despite having a record number of sales the years before) and then in September 2025 the internal issues escalated.

Then on the 13th of October 2025 (a week ago), Quill Motorcars Sdn Bhd was retired by Rolls Royce Motor Cars with a termination notice sent to the management.

Meanwhile, we (www.dsf.my) reached out to BMW Group Malaysia (remember, BMW Group owns Rolls Royce) for a comment and clarification and we also sent an email to Rolls Royce Motors (SG office) for a comment and clarification. We even reached out to Quill staff and there is no response.

Till today, 19th of October 2025, we have not received a reply. Wonder why?

Interestingly, we reported on the 30th of September 2025 that the Malaysian Royal Customs paid a visit to the Quill dealership (it was a Friday afternoon) and brand new Rolls Royce cars were taken away. We still do not know if this was a tax issue or was it a bonded warehouse document renewal issue?

However, we do know from our investigation that all imported vehicles which have yet to be delivered to Malaysian customers (import duties not paid yet) MUST be stored in a bonded warehouse that is owned by the vehicle AP holder/importer (which in this case will be QMI).

We know that Quill Motorcars Sdn Bhd has been working very closely with QMI who is the Rolls-Royce Approved Permit (AP) holder in Malaysia from the start of business in 2010. They (QMI) will have to work with Malaysian Royal Customs to release the cars that were confiscated.

So, right now all existing Rolls Royce owners (like the Spectre electric Roller) with a running warranty will need to be informed where to go to get their multi million Ringgit cars serviced and looked after until all the above have been clarified. (will it be serviced at Auto Bavaria who has the facility to look after this electric and also petrol powered powertrain)

Why we say clarified? Well there must be a NEW Rolls Royce distributor on the way or …..…
