Even more excitingly, the newly launched Nissan Kicks e-POWER is also included in this campaign. Launched locally late last year, the Kicks is Nissan’s first new model in four years for the Malaysian market. It is currently available in two fully imported trim levels—VL and VLT—priced at RM 113,800 and RM 121,800, respectively (or RM 125,800 for a two-tone paint scheme).

The launch of the Kicks in Malaysia welcomes the local arrival of Nissan’s e-POWER system. marks the arrival of Nissan’s e-POWER system. For those unfamiliar with this technology, it is essentially a self-charging series-hybrid setup, where the wheels are driven solely by an electric motor, while the engine functions as an onboard generator with no mechanical connection to the wheels.

Under the hood of both Kicks variants is a 1.2-litre naturally aspirated three-cylinder petrol engine, which keeps the 2.06 kWh lithium-ion battery pack charged as it supplies power to the front-mounted electric motor. This drive motor produces 95 kW (129 PS) and 280 Nm of torque, allowing the Kicks to accelerate from 0-100 km/h in 9.5 seconds, before reaching a top speed of 180 km/h.
