Porsche Opens 1st Borneo Outlet With Kuching 1S Centre

Porsche expands its physical presence to East Malaysia with the opening of its new 1S centre in Kuching.

Porsche enthusiasts of Borneo rejoice, as the premium German automaker has recently made its premiere physical appearance on the island! Shortly after Volvo (re)launched its 2S centre in Kuching, the Stuttgart Stallion has now also announced the opening of a 1S centre in the same city.

A collaborative effort between official local Porsche distributor Sime Darby Auto Performance and Hap Seng Prestige, the new centre will offer existing Porsche owners (who all imported their cars from outside of Borneo) access to maintenance, diagnostics and repair services, with the facility consisting of a two-bay workshop supported by Porsche-trained technicians and equipped to Porsche’s global-certified standards.

The facility is equipped with specialised diagnostic systems and workshop equipment, while Genuine Porsche Parts are sourced directly through Porsche’s global supply network to ensure every vehicle is maintained to the standards set by the marque. And to ensure that owners get the full premium Porsche ownership experience, the service centre further features a welcoming customer lounge.

To celebrate the commencement of operations of Porsche Service Centre Kuching, Porsche owners are also invited to a Service Clinic held exclusively in Sarawak, with the programme including a complimentary 111-point inspection offering customers a detailed assessment of their vehicle’s overall condition. Customers may also take advantage of exclusive Porsche Approved Warranty packages available during the Service Clinic for some added peace of mind in their ownership experience, with interested customers able to make an appointment via this link.

The appointment of Hap Seng Prestige reflects the strength of Hap Seng Group’s longstanding automotive heritage and commitment to delivering high standards of customer care and technical excellence, through this partnership, customers in Sarawak can now benefit from authorised Porsche aftersales support delivered by a trusted automotive group with extensive experience in premium vehicle retail and aftersales operations.

Now as the name implies, this upcoming 1S centre will just focus solely on service. So those still looking to procure their Porsches will still have to hop over to West Malaysia, with Sime Darby Auto Performance currently operating three official Porsche Centres in Kuala Lumpur, Penang and Johor.

Though while customers cannot buy vehicles here, they can nevertheless explore a selection of Porsche Tequipment accessories and Porsche Lifestyle merchandise. Selected Porsche Lifestyle merchandise are even offered at up to 30% off in conjunction with the opening, allowing customers and enthusiasts to further express their passion for Porsche both on and off the road.
