iCaur V23 Set To Launch In Malaysia Costing From RM 145,000

This boxy all-electric V23 is set to join the 03 in the local iCaur lineup come November 2025.
Following its initial left-hand-drive preview at the Malaysia Autoshow 2025 this past May, the iCaur V23 has now made an appearance in its localised right-hand-drive form. This all-electric off-roader is set for an official Malaysian launch sometime in November and will be offered in two variants, priced as follows:
- RWD: RM 145,000
- iWD: RM 155,000

The second iCaur model to arrive locally after the recently launched Defender-esque 03, the V23 instead goes for a more retro-boxy vibe on the outside. Some might even say it carries a hint of FJ Cruiser about it, albeit with a front fascia that looks as though it’s been lifted straight off a Morris Minor Lowlight.

In any case, its incredibly short overhangs help the V23 achieve an impressive 42-degree approach angle and 40-degree departure angle. Its massive alloys (19-inch for the RWD and a honking 21-inch for the iWD) may not be the most ideal setup for hardcore off-roading, but they do contribute to a respectable 200 mm ground clearance and 600 mm wading depth.

Incidentally, much of the V23’s exterior can be personalised with a range of add-on accessories and attachments. Whether these customisation options will be officially offered in Malaysia remains to be seen, though anyone could always just Taobao these parts from its home market (with the possibility free shipping as well).

Now in terms of propulsion, the RWD variant features a single rear-mounted electric motor producing 100 kW and 180 Nm of torque, allowing for a 0–100 km/h sprint in 11 seconds and a top speed of 140 km/h. Power comes from a 59.9 kWh lithium iron phosphate (LFP) battery, which delivers up to 401 km of range under the NEDC cycle.
Stepping up to the all-paw iWD version adds a front-mounted 55 kW motor for a combined output of 211 hp and 292 Nm, enabling the century sprint in just 7.5 seconds. This variant uses a larger 81.8 kWh nickel-manganese-cobalt (NMC) battery, providing up to 501 km of range (NEDC).

On the charging front, the RWD supports up to 85 kW DC fast charging, while the iWD version can handle 104 kW DC. Both variants accept 6.6 kW AC charging and also come with 3.3 kW Vehicle-to-Load (V2L) functionality.
Moving along inside, the upright dashboard is dominated by a single 15.4-inch infotainment touchscreen. This is joined by a set of rectangular-shaped air vents and a panel with chunky dials and switches positioned right above it, with the driver staring at an oddly large headlight height adjustment dial right in front of them.

What is somewhat odd as well is for this boxy 4×4 to only really have proper seating for four, though there is a fifth seatbelt to squeeze someone in between those two sculpted rear chairs. Boot space is expandable from 234 to 1,366 litres, inclusive of 80 litres under the floor and the “spare wheel cover” that actually serves as a storage compartment for the charging cables.

Finally, on the safety front, the V23 comes equipped with a Level 2 Advanced Driver Assistance System (ADAS) suite, featuring adaptive cruise control, lane departure warning, and autonomous emergency braking. While there’s no three-quarter glass, the inclusion of a full-HD 540-degree Transparent Chassis Camera should make manoeuvring this boxy off-roader a lot easier.

The V23 will be available in six colourways: Off-Road Orange, Khaki White, Slate Silver, Carbon Crystal Black, Army Green, and Gravel Grey. It is currently open for registrations of interest, with those wanting to see it in person able to do so at Starhill Piazza, Kuala Lumpur, from 29 October to 2 November, between 10:00 am and 10:00 pm.
