Honda Malaysia To Debut 3 New Models In 2025, Including 1st EV

The HR-V-esque e:N1 will incidentally be the first of 3 Honda BEVs set to launch over here by 2027.
Honda Malaysia has recently announced ambitious plans for 2025, targeting sales of 83,000 units and a market share of 10.6%. And this is to hopefully be achieved through the launch of 3 new models this year, including its first-ever BEV over here — the e:N1.
Building on its strong 2024 performance with 81,600 units sold and 10% market share, Honda Malaysia continues to dominate the Non-National Passenger Vehicle Segment for the 11th consecutive year. The company’s 2025 lineup will feature three new models, beginning with the facelifted Civic that was previously launched in January.
The highlight of Honda’s 2025 strategy will be the imminent debut of its first BEV over here — the e:N1. First previewed locally at the Kuala Lumpur International Mobility Show (KLIMS) 2025 late last year, this essentially all-electric HR-V will all but likely arrive fully imported from Thailand sometime around the middle of this year.
The introduction of the e:N1 marks the beginning of Honda Malaysia’s three-year electrification plan, which aims to bring three new BEV models to Malaysian consumers by 2027. This initiative not only expands Honda’s product lineup, but also reinforces the company’s unique position in the automotive industry.
“Aligned with our 2025 business direction, we are set to energise the market with the debut of our first BEV, the e:N1,” said Honda Malaysia Managing Director and CEO Hironobu Yoshimura. “This model exemplifies Honda’s advanced BEV features, while also introducing the company’s initial EV technology to the Malaysian market.”
As Honda Malaysia navigates the evolving automotive landscape in 2025, the company remains committed to its philosophy of “Powering Progress, Expanding Joy,” continuing to develop vehicles that deliver excellent performance and an enjoyable driving experience while embracing sustainable mobility solutions.
Honda’s market leadership in 2024 was driven by strong performances from its top three models: the HR-V, City, and CR-V, contributing 26%, 25%, and 14% to total sales, respectively. Additionally, the CR-V, HR-V, and Civic each claimed the number one position in their respective Non-National segments.
Honda’s e:HEV hybrid technology continues to gain significant traction in Malaysia, accounting for nearly 30% of the country’s total hybrid car sales in 2024. The automaker has stated that it remains confident that both internal combustion engine and e:HEV technologies will maintain their relevance due to infrastructure readiness, consumer preferences, and ongoing technological advancements.
With 104 dealerships across Malaysia, Honda continues to prioritise customer satisfaction through comprehensive sales and after-sales services. The company invests heavily in training its associates to keep pace with the latest automotive advancements, ensuring they have the knowledge and expertise to exceed customer expectations.
Digital transformation remains a key focus for Honda Malaysia, with its HondaTouch platform now boasting over 430,000 active users. This digital solution streamlines the after-sales experience, providing customers with a seamless and efficient service process.
