Rare FIAT 131 Mirafiori Stolen From Workshop
Please be on the look out for the rare FIAT 131 Mirafiori

Some ‘silly person’ has stolen a very rare and special FIAT 131 Mirafiori ….. and why we say silly, this is not a common car and it is either someone looking for a ‘joy-ride’ or a professional car thief who will be exporting this car for a classic car buyer.
This two-door Mirafiori is powered by a 2.0-litre (1995cc) twin-cam engine produced 114 bhp and fitted with a stylish body and alloy wheels. This is not the rare Abarth version.
Essentially, it was the Italian made rival to the Ford Escort Cosworth, but rather better on the road. In comparison, the Fiat’s twin-cam efficiency compensated for the 131 Sport’s extra weight.
The front suspension with MacPherson struts, wishbones and stabiliser bar was new. There was also a brake system with discs at the front and drum brakes at the rear as well as rack-and-pinion steering. An engine with an overhead camshaft (OHV) and timing belt drive was developed from the engine block of the Fiat 132.
