Tokyo Auto Salon 2020 Hot And Custom Cars
The 2020 edition of TOKYO AUTO SALON has just ended las at Makuhari Messe, Chiba. This world class tuning and race car show started on the 10th January Friday and ended on Sunday the 12th. It is a three-day event organised by Tokyo Auto Salon.
The show like in previous years has amazing restomode and also highly tuned cars from classic JDM models, to German sports cars right up to the latest Japanese sports cars and sport sedans.
The biggest tuners and parts suppliers from japan like RWB, EXEDY, BLITZ and HKS are in full feature with a variety of tuned cars and the most tuned car at this year’s show seems to be the 2019 Toyota Supra. A variety of tuners have taken up the challenge to give the Supra supercar status with wild and wide body-styling kits and some very interesting paint finishing.
The classic cars JDM cars like the Nissan Skyline from the 1970’s was also in full tune. There was also a BMW 2002 that was given a modern makeover.
Classic 911 SC’s from Porsche were not spared with slammed models and also wide arch conversions on display.
A rare Mercedes GT-R from the tuning house ROBERUTA made an appearance with a rare Jaguar XJR.
Family movers, MPV’s were not spared as there were also tuned on the inside and under the hood with some slammed models that would not be advisable for our bumpy roads.
Italian’s were also on display with the large and sexy Lanborghini Urus to the complete Lamborghini range of supercars side by side.
Ferrari tuned cars also made it to this year’s show and it really is a shame to see their well though our aerodynamics designs remade by tuners.
Not to be left out was the early 1980’s Toyota Supra and its smaller sibling the Levin (AE86). The Nissan range of hot cars were also in full effect together with the classic Miata from Mazda.
The latest Suzuki Jimny was also introduced with a variety of options to make it the most adorable little SUV.
The rotary powered cars from Mazda, the RX-7, the Savanna and also the Efini were also in the large main hall with a variety of tuning options.
The glorious world of in car entertainment was not forgotten as the top Japanese in car Hi-Fi manufacturers showed their latest and best sound system units. Aiwa and Alpine made an impression with their latest offerings.
It is the coldest time of the year to be in Japan with average temperatures between 2-9 degrees Celsius but if you are a car enthusiast and are already in Tokyo, don’t miss this great car show.
