Proton e.MAS Impianku Contest Lets Malaysians Design Their Dream EV

Proton New Energy Technology Sdn Bhd (PRO-NET) has launched e.MAS Impianku, a nationwide AI-powered contest inviting Malaysians to design their ideal Proton e.MAS vehicle.
Running from 19 October to 30 November 2026, the contest allows participants to use generative AI to create their own EV designs. Winning entries will be turned into personalised 3D-printed collectibles.
The campaign aims to gather public ideas on future EV designs, features and technologies. It also builds on the Proton e.MAS lineup, which includes the e.MAS 5 and e.MAS 7 PHEV.
Participants can use a recommended AI prompt provided on the campaign website or customise it to create their own designs. Entries must be original AI-generated creations and comply with the contest’s terms and conditions.
How To Enter e.MAS Impianku
The general public contest is open to Malaysian residents aged 18 and above. Participants can enter through the following steps:
- Visit protonemasimpianku.com and select “Open Category” on the submission form.
- Copy the recommended AI prompt from the “How to Join” section.
- Use any generative AI platform to customise the prompt and create a dream e.MAS design.
- Upload the design to the microsite and complete the submission form.
All eligible entries will appear in a digital gallery on the campaign website. Public voting will run from 5 to 13 December 2026, with the 20 designs receiving the most votes shortlisted for final judging.
Eight winners will be announced at an official PRO-NET event in January 2027. Three grand prize winners will each receive an approximately 10-inch 3D-printed model of their design. Five elite prize winners will receive miniature 3D-printed collectibles.
University Students Edition Offers Cash Prizes
PRO-NET is also running a separate University Students Edition for students aged 18 and above enrolled in recognised Malaysian higher education institutions.
The university contest runs from 19 October to 30 November 2026. Students must select “University Category” on the submission form, use a generative AI platform to create their design, and upload their entry through the microsite.
Unlike the public contest, university entries will be judged entirely by a panel, without public voting.
The prizes include RM1,000 for the grand prize winner, RM600 for second place and RM400 for third place. Another 12 participants will receive exclusive Proton e.MAS merchandise through the Creative Merit Awards.
Participants may submit multiple designs but can only enter one contest category. Submissions close at 11:59 PM on 30 November 2026.
PRO-NET said the contest provides a platform for Malaysians to share their ideas for future electric vehicles. The designs are conceptual and do not confirm any future Proton e.MAS production models.
