JETOUR Malaysia has officially launched the JETOUR T2 i-DM in Malaysia, adding a plug-in hybrid version to its T2 SUV range.
The T2 i-DM combines a 1.5-litre TGDi dedicated hybrid engine with a three-speed dedicated hybrid transmission and a dual-motor electric system. The setup produces a combined output of up to 265 kW and 610 Nm, while the SUV offers up to 1,200 km of combined driving range and more than 100 km of pure electric range.
The Intelligent Dual-Mode (i-DM) system can operate across five different driving scenarios. These include EV Drive for low-speed driving, Series Hybrid for urban traffic, Dual Power Boost for overtaking and hill climbing, Parallel Hybrid for highway driving and Regenerative Braking to recover energy while slowing down.
Power comes from an 18.4 kWh lithium iron phosphate (LFP) battery, which features IP68 protection, underbody protection and high-temperature resistance. The T2 i-DM also supports Vehicle-to-Load (V2L) with up to 3.3 kW of output.
Charging options include 57 kW DC fast charging, which can take the battery from 30% to 80% in 27 minutes or less. A 6.6 kW AC wallbox can charge from 30% to 100% in three hours or less, while a 2.2 kW portable charger takes six hours or less.
The T2 i-DM retains the rugged styling of the regular T2, with features including Auto LED headlamps with JETOUR Signature Wordlight, 20-inch Trailblazer alloy wheels, reversing-mode door mirrors and a rear-mounted spare tire.
Inside, equipment includes a 15.6-inch multimedia display, Sony 12-speaker premium audio system, 50W wireless charger, ventilated front seats, a memory driver’s seat and multicolour ambient lighting.
Safety features include Level 2 ADAS, with systems such as Autonomous Emergency Braking, Lane Assist Intervention, Blind Spot Detection, Integrated Cruise Assist, Rear Cross Traffic Alert and Intelligent High Beam. The SUV also gets six airbags, a high-strength steel body, panoramic view monitoring and tire pressure monitoring.
The JETOUR T2 i-DM is priced at RM162,800 in Peninsular Malaysia, excluding registration, inspection, HP ownership, road tax and insurance.
For the first 2,000 registrations, customers can choose between a complimentary 7 kW AC wallbox with installation or RM2,000 in ChargeSini credits, together with a complimentary V2L adapter.
Warranty coverage includes seven years or 150,000 km for the vehicle, eight years or 160,000 km for the high-voltage battery and 10 years or 1,000,000 km for the engine, along with five free service sessions.
