Aston Martin Valen: 850PS V12 Supercar Pushes Front-Engine Formula to the Extreme
850PS, 1,000Nm and a 214mph top speed define Aston Martin’s latest V12 special.

Aston Martin has unveiled the Valen, its most powerful front-engined car yet and the most powerful front-engined V12 in the marque’s 113-year history.
Created by Q by Aston Martin and the newly formed Special Vehicle Operations (SVO) department, the Valen is designed as an extreme interpretation of Aston Martin’s traditional front-engined, rear-wheel-drive formula. Production will be limited to just 150 examples, with first deliveries expected in Q2 2027.
At the heart of the Valen is Aston Martin’s 5.2-litre twin-turbocharged V12, producing 850PS and 1,000Nm of torque from 2,500rpm. Power is sent through an eight-speed ZF automatic transmission featuring shift strategies developed from Aston Martin’s Vantage GT4 race programme.
The result is a claimed 0–60mph time of 3.0 seconds and an electronically limited top speed of 214mph.
Built to Be Lighter and Sharper
Performance improvements go beyond the engine. Aston Martin has focused heavily on reducing weight, with the Valen shedding up to 110kg compared with the core V12 platform.
Carbon fibre, aluminium, titanium and magnesium are used throughout the car, while an optional lightweight package saves a further 16.9kg through components including machined aluminium suspension parts and titanium chassis bolts.
The Valen also comes with lightweight magnesium wheels as standard, wrapped in bespoke Pirelli P Zero R or P Zero Winter 2 tyres. Pirelli’s Cyber Tyre technology provides real-time tyre data to the car’s electronic systems, allowing the ABS, ESP and traction control to continuously adjust their responses.
The chassis has received extensive revisions, including model-specific springs, Bilstein DTX semi-active dampers, a solid-mounted rear subframe and recalibrated steering, braking and electronic systems.
Aston Martin has also equipped the Valen with 410mm front and 360mm rear carbon-ceramic brakes, while three drive modes — Sport, Sport+ and Track — alter the car’s throttle response and dynamic character.
A V12 Soundtrack to Match
The Valen’s performance is accompanied by a bespoke lightweight titanium exhaust system featuring four 3D-printed titanium tailpipe finishers.
The exhaust has been tuned to produce a more aggressive, higher-frequency soundtrack, with the upper outlets remaining open while the lower outlets are controlled by valves depending on the selected drive mode.
An Aggressive New Design
Visually, the Valen takes Aston Martin’s front-engined formula in a more dramatic direction.
Its sharply sculpted body features recessed headlamps, a plunging bonnet, an angular grille and an aggressive front splitter. Large functional vents run along the sides of the car, while pronounced rear haunches give the Valen a muscular stance.
At the rear, Aston Martin has replaced the conventional rear window and boot lid with a solid tailgate incorporating an aerodynamic wing. A full-width light bar sits beneath the tail, while the rear diffuser and exhaust arrangement further emphasise the car’s motorsport-inspired character.
The Valen’s body is constructed entirely from carbon fibre and can be specified with a fully exposed carbon-fibre finish. Customers can also work with Q by Aston Martin to create bespoke carbon-fibre tints and finishes.
The show car itself is finished in Satin Andromeda Red, a colour developed by Q that shifts between deep red, copper, gold and blue tones depending on the light.
A Driver-Focused Interior
Inside, Aston Martin has taken a more focused approach, with a slim centre console angled towards the driver and incorporating elements first introduced on the Valhalla.
Customers can choose between new Sports Plus seats for a balance of support and long-distance comfort, or lightweight carbon-fibre performance seats for a more focused setup.
The cabin also features extensive use of 3D-printed components, Alcantara, Semi-Aniline leather and new trim options, with Q by Aston Martin offering a wide range of personalisation choices.
Despite its aggressive character, the Valen retains the luxury and craftsmanship expected from Aston Martin, with the company aiming to make the car engaging on both road and track.
With its combination of 850PS, 1,000Nm, a 214mph top speed and a 110kg weight reduction, the Valen represents one of Aston Martin’s most extreme interpretations of its front-engined V12 formula.
Limited to just 150 units worldwide, the Valen is set to become the latest highly exclusive addition to Aston Martin’s lineage of V12 specials, following models such as the One-77, Vulcan, Victor, Valour and Valiant.
First deliveries are scheduled for Q2 2027.
