Kia Malaysia Selling Prices Move Lower In 2026

Kia Malaysia has just announced lower selling prices from January 1st 2026 in Malaysia

This move by Kia Malaysia is part of a major “reset” following the establishment of Kia Sales Malaysia (KSM), a new standalone National Sales Company under direct leadership from the principal from Korea.

The key reasons for this pricing strategy include:

After years of changing distributors and shifting product plans, Kia aims to rebuild customer confidence and answer the question “Why Kia?” by offering “right-priced” products with appropriate specifications.

The price cuts are designed to make Kia models more attractive compared to Japanese and increasingly popular Chinese rivals in the SUV and MPV segments.

Transitioning from a local distributor (previously Bermaz Auto) to a direct-run operation allows the brand full control over pricing and marketing without franchise fees being passed to customers.

Alongside vehicle price drops, Kia slashed genuine spare parts prices by 15% on average and established a dedicated warehouse in Shah Alam to lower maintenance costs and shorten service lead times.

Some analysts suggest the lower upfront prices were partially offset by the removal of previously offered free scheduled maintenance schemes, replaced instead by an extended 5-year/150,000km warranty.
