Honda Enters The E-Bike Game With Its Newly Previewed WN7

This first-ever production e-bike from Honda is touted to have the performance of a 600 cc ICE two-wheeler.
Honda has officially entered the electric motorcycle market with the unveiling of its first production e-bike, the WN7. Now open for pre-orders in Europe, production is set to begin this year with deliveries scheduled for early 2026.
The tailpipe-less two-wheeler from Honda first appeared as the EV Fun Concept at the 2024 EICMA show in Milan, and its production-ready form retains much of the spirit of that debut. Its name carries meaning too: “W” for the development theme Be the Wind, “N” for Naked, and “7” denoting its output class.
This debut e-bike from Honda is claimed to deliver performance on par with a 600 cc internal combustion motorcycle, while offering torque figures comparable to a 1,000 cc machine. Power comes from a liquid-cooled, mid-mounted electric motor producing up to 50 kW with peak torque of 100 Nm. The bike will be offered in two configurations: an 18 kWh variant for A2 licence holders and an 11 kWh option for A1 riders.
Top speed is quoted at over 110 km/h, with a range exceeding 130 km on a single charge. Tipping the scales at 217 kg, the WN7 strikes a balance between performance, practicality, and everyday usability.
The WN7 supports CCS2 rapid charging, enabling a 20–80% top-up in under 30 minutes. For home use, it is compatible with AC charging up to 6 kVA, allowing a full recharge in roughly three hours using a wall box.
Styling-wise, Honda has given the WN7 a slim, futuristic design that underscores its EV identity. A single-sided swingarm highlights the rear wheel, while full LED lighting with daytime running lights lends a modern touch.
Behind the handlebars meanwhile, riders are greeted by a five-inch TFT display that integrates with the Honda RoadSync smartphone app, offering navigation, calls, messages, and exclusive EV menus.
Beyond performance, the WN7 reflects Honda’s wider environmental ambitions. The Japanese marque has pledged to make all motorcycle products carbon-neutral by the 2040s, as part of its overarching goal of achieving full carbon neutrality across all operations by 2050.
The launch of the WN7 marks the beginning of a new chapter, with Honda planning a complete lineup of electric motorcycles to cater to everything from daily commuting to performance-oriented “Fun” models.
