The other big news here is that GAC’s falcon door Aion Hyptec will be on site this coming weekend.
WTC Automotif (M) Sdn Bhd (WTCA) has recently officiated the opening of its GAC and AION Glenmarie 3S Flagship showroom, and the big news here with this latest outlet is for it to be the largest in the country for the Chinese automaker to date.
Operated by WariTan Automobile Sdn Bhd, the whole Glenmarie outlet has nearly 12,000 square meters of built-up area. The GAC and Aion showroom portions individually occupy 456 and 644 square metres of space, with it being sufficient to showcase 3 and 6 vehicles from their respective sub-brands as well as a customer lounge.
The GAC Motor and AION service centre meanwhile spans the remaining sub-11,000 square meters of floor space in this massive Glenmarie outlet, and is equipped with 10 work bays that is staffed by 7 fully certified technicians, service consultants, and a dedicated support team to provide comprehensive aftersales support for customers.
To make it that little bit more pleasant while waiting for one’s car to be service too, some space was set aside for a premier lounge complete with reserved work stations and plug points for customers who need to work while waiting for their vehicles to be serviced. There is also a dedicated kids playroom on the premises, as well as a merchandise and coffee corner for some branded swag and light refreshments respectively.
Both GAC and Aion showrooms are to be open 7 days a week: Mondays – Fridays: 9:00am to 7:00pm, Saturdays: 9:00am – 6:00pm, Sundays and Public Holidays: 9:00am – 5:00pm. The operating hours for its service centre on the other hand is 8.30 a.m. — 5.30 p.m, from Monday to Saturday.

In celebration of this newly-opened GAC and Aion Glenmarie, the Chinese automaker will be hosting a Deepavali celebration cum showroom launch event, where visitors can test drive its latest models and experience the ‘exciting features firsthand’. These features include the GAC Smart Watch demonstration, the GS3 Emzoom Fusion Automatic Parking Assist, the AION Y Plus in-cabin theater system, and more.
Just to further entice a visit over to its new showroom too, Aion has brought along its Hyptec HT to this showroom event as well. This all-electric sleek 5-seater SUV mimics the Tesla Model X by featuring a set of striking ‘falcon’ rear doors, and is estimated to offer a driving range of between 550 km to 600 km.
Attendees will also receive exclusive test drive gifts, including GAC and Aion merchandise, freebies when they book a GAC or Aion vehicle, kids’ activities, and light refreshments. The event will take place on 26–27 October (Sat – Sun) from 10.00 a.m. to 5.00 p.m. at GAC Motor Glenmarie (Waze: GAC Motor Glenmarie) and Aion Glenmarie (Waze: AION Glenmarie).
