PRO-NET Looking For More Dealers For Proton e.MAS EV Brand

There are currently 18 dealerships that have signed on to distribute the Proton e.MAS brand thus far.

PRO-NET has recently put out a call to invite dealer partners to join in expanding the distribution network of its soon-to-launch Proton e.MAS EV sub-brand. This all-electric subsidiary of the Malaysian marque currently has 18 outlets nationwide ready to go before the first model arrives at the end of this year, but is aiming to reach 30 locations by the end of next year.

The company is currently specifically looking to build its presence in the central Klang Valley region, in addition to Alor Setar in Kedah, Kuala Terengganu, Seremban in Negeri Sembilan, Melaka, Johor Bahru, Batu Pahat and Muar in Johor, Kuching, Sibu, Bintulu and Miri in Sarawak, as well as Sandakan and Tawau in Sabah. Interested parties in this business opportunity can contact at PRO-NET by emailing either [email protected]m or [email protected].

During the launch of the Proton e.MAS brand on early last month, the national automaker had announced the appointment of the first 17 dealerships through a signing ceremony. Since then, an additional dealer has joined to bring that total to 18.

Of the current 18 confirmed Proton e.MAS dealerships thus far, 17 of these outlets are to be found in Peninsular Malaysia: 3 in Kuala Lumpur, 4 in Selangor, 2 in Johor, 3 in Perak, 2 in Pulau Pinang, 1 in Kedah, 1 in Kelantan, and 1 in Pahang. East Malaysia meanwhile only has one outlet at present, with it to be located in Sabah. These aforementioned outlets operate under a comprehensive network model managed by PRO-NET, and currently from 1S centres (showrooms) to 3S centres.

“With the expansion of our Proton e.MAS dealership network, PRO-NET aspires to lead the national car industry in harnessing the transformative power of EVs to build a greener future. Our dealerships are not just points of sale but hubs of innovation and learning, dedicated to educating and inspiring individuals. This initiative marks our commitment to building greater trust among our customers, and we are determined to become the segment leader for national cars in the EV sector,” said Zhang Qiang, Chief Executive Officer of PRO-NET.

While not officially announced yet, the first model of this new EV sub-brand from Proton is likely to be a rebadge of Geely’s recently launched Galaxy E5. This mid-sized SUV is currently on sale in China with a single-motor setup rated at 218 PS, and is powered by either a 49.5 kWh or 60 kWh lithium iron phosphate (LFP) battery pack that is good for a CLTC-rated range of 440 km and 530 km respectively.
