This updated mid-sized Mercedes-Benz coupe lands locally in a sole E 300 AMG Line trim.
Coming hot off the heels of the updated E-Class sedan that launched locally just two weeks ago, Mercedes-Benz Malaysia has since announced the local arrival of its facelifted coupe counterpart. Officially available here in a sole E 300 AMG Line trim level for now, this sleekly-styled two-door three-pointed star comes bearing a price tag of RM 495,071 (inclusive of the ongoing SST exemption).
A revision that was making its presence known globally last year already, the biggest changes seen with this update mainly lies on its exterior. And the most immediately obvious of which would be its new-shape trapezoidal grille up front, flanked by a pair of slimmer Multibeam LED headlights that comes as standard with Adaptive Highbeam Assist Plus.
It is not just its headlights though that have been given a freshen up, as round its rump also are a redesigned set of two-piece taillights. This being an AMG Line Mercedes-Benz too, the facelifted E300 Coupe naturally nets a some sportier bumpers on either end, and 19-inch AMG 5-twin-spoke light-alloy wheels on each corner.
For those expecting something new under the hood however will be somewhat disappointed, as the facelifted E 300 Coupe soldiers on with the same 2.0-litre turbocharged four-pot that drives the rear wheels via a 9-speed 9G-tronic automatic transmission. It nevertheless still has some poke though, with the 258 PS and 370 Nm of torque produced capable of hauling this AMG Line Mercedes to 100 km/h from a standstill in 6.4 seconds, and on to an electronically-limited top speed of 250 km/h.
In continuing on the topic of sportiness too, this facelifted E 300 AMG Line comes fitted as standard Agility Control adaptive dampers that sits 15 mm lower than its sedan sibling. There’s also Dynamic Select drive mode system that offers five different settings to best suit the driving scenario, with them being Comfort, ECO, Sport, Sport+ and Individual.
Now moving on inside on the other hand, new within this E-Class coupe is a rather interesting multifunction steering wheel with quad side-spokes and an open-pore black ash wood interior trim. Upgraded too within the cabin is its twin 12.3-inch display, which now runs the marque’s MBUX NG6 software stack and comes with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto as standard.
This facelifted three-pointed star also nets some upgrades in the safety department, with Driving Assistance package and a capacitive hands-off steering wheel detection system now available as standard. Still sticking around meanwhile are the usual array of luxury accoutrements, which includes features such as Tri-zone Thermotronic automatic climate control, three-zone 64-colour LED ambient lighting system, Burmester surround sound system and panoramic sliding sunroof.
The Mercedes-Benz E 300 AMG Line Coupe can be had in Polar White, Obsidian Black, Rubellite Red, Graphite Grey, Mojave Silver, Brilliant Blue, High-tech Silver, Emerald Green and Selenite Grey. Also available are the designo diamond white bright and designo patagonia red metallic as a cost option.

The Mercedes-Benz E 300 AMG Line Coupé is powered by a breath-taking 2.0L 4-cylinder petrol engine that generates an output of 190kW (258 hp), 370 Nm of torque, capable of an acceleration of 0-100km/h in just 6.4 seconds. The enhancement of DYNAMIC SELECT, 9G-TRONIC transmission and AGILITY CONTROL suspension offers an optimum ride comfort and driving stability.
