Jetour Malaysia Eyes Strong 2026 Growth With New Models Incoming

The upcoming Defender-esque T2 off-roader will be headlining Jetour’s local expansion in 2026.
While Jetour may not have enjoyed the same stratospheric rise in popularity as some of its more high-profile Chinese peers, the brand has nevertheless been steadily building momentum locally. And hence with that in mind, this Chery offshoot has since outlined an ambitious growth plan for Malaysia heading into 2026.

Since its local market entry early last year, Jetour has already recorded total sales of 2,741 vehicles, split between its two existing models: the Dashing five-seat SUV and the VT9 seven-seat SUV. Both models are currently locally assembled in Johor, with prices starting from RM 109,800 and RM 118,800 respectively.

Looking ahead meanwhile, Jetour has confirmed plans to expand its product portfolio with the introduction of its rugged, Defender-inspired T1 and T2 boxy off-roaders. The brand is also reportedly exploring entry into the pickup truck segment, potentially with a first-of-its-kind plug-in hybrid powertrain for the category.

Beyond new products, Jetour is also looking to further strengthen its long-term operational capabilities in Malaysia. To that end therefore, it has announced planned initiatives include the establishment of a new local headquarters and flagship service centre, alongside a Regional Technical Training Centre and a dedicated Media and Content Centre, all slated for completion by the first half of 2026.
In parallel, the brand is accelerating its network expansion as well, targeting 50 authorised sales and service centres nationwide by end-2026. This builds on its existing footprint of 31 outlets across 13 states and regions, and will be supported by enhanced aftersales programmes, quarterly service campaigns and customer car clinics to reinforce ownership confidence.

Finally, as part of its continued evolution, Jetour recently introduced its refreshed brand logo in Malaysia, signalling a clearer and more confident chapter ahead. Inspired by the Chinese character 行, symbolising movement and forward momentum, the updated identity underscores the automaker’s commitment to Malaysia as a key growth market.
According to Mr Nicholas Ng, Vice President of Jetour Auto Malaysia, “Malaysia remains a key market in Jetour’s global growth strategy. Our focus is on building a stronger and more distinctive SUV portfolio, while continuing to invest in the capabilities and infrastructure that support long-term confidence among customers and partners.”
