6,632 Toyotas were delivered locally in February 2025, bringing their 2025 total to 12,015 vehicles.
UMW Toyota Motor (UMWT) has seemingly returned to form in the Malaysian automotive market recently, as it reports a somewhat solid sales performance for the month of February 2025. The Japanese automaker delivered 6,632 units last month, bringing its total year-to-date (YTD) sales to 12,015 vehicles when combined with January’s 5,383 units.
Now while last month’s sales is slightly down from the 7,480 deliveries it managed in February 2024, the current YTD figures is nevertheless looking promising for the automaker, as it already accounts for nearly 12% of Toyota’s total 2024 sales of 102,300 units. The automaker further touts that its Vios, Hilux, and Corolla Cross “continue to set industry benchmarks’, which it adds is a testament to ‘the brand’s enduring appeal and market leadership’.
Also, aside from releasing its sales figures, UMWT has proclaimed in its release that its commitment to customer satisfaction extends well beyond the showroom floor. With a nationwide network of 100 3S (Sales, Service, and Spare Parts) centres, Toyota owners benefit from convenient access to expert maintenance and support. In 2024 alone, the company serviced over 1.4 million vehicles, underscoring its dedication to providing comprehensive automotive solutions.
