Toyo Proxes Comfort Tyre Range Launched In Malaysia

The Proxes Comfort lineup starts from RM 279 and go up to RM 698 for sizes between 16- and 19-inches.
Toyo Tires has recently launched the new Proxes Comfort in Malaysia, marking the first of three new Proxes series models the tyre maker plans to roll out locally over the next three years. Developed and engineered in Japan, the Proxes Comfort is to be positioned as Toyo’s latest comfort-focused offering for modern passenger cars and SUVs.

Now according to Toyo, the Proxes Comfort was developed with foresight into increasing vehicle weights brought about by electrification, alongside growing customer demand for greater refinement and long-distance comfort. The tyre is engineered around three core priorities: strong wet grip, stable handling at highway speeds, as well as a smooth and quiet ride for both daily use and longer journeys.
Sitting as the next generation in Toyo’s luxury comfort tyre lineup, the Proxes Comfort combines an advanced tread compound with a reinforced internal structure and an optimised tyre profile. Together, these elements are intended to deliver better stability, improved braking performance and a more confidence-inspiring drive across varying road conditions.

One of the headline technologies with the Proxes Comfort here is Toyo Tires’ new Dynamic Taper Design. Conventional tread groove designs can lead to uneven contact pressure, which in turn compromises braking stability. This new design helps the grooves maintain more consistent contact with the road surface, improving pressure distribution while increasing tread block stiffness.
And in real-world terms, this translates to more predictable braking and handling in both wet and dry conditions. It is particularly beneficial during heavy rain, sudden stops and stop-start urban driving, all of which are daily realities on Malaysian roads.

Beyond that, the Proxes Comfort also features an optimised profile that reduces stress on the bead and belt edges. This allows the tyre to maintain consistent ground contact during lane changes, cornering and sustained highway cruising, even when the vehicle is carrying heavier loads.
Compared to the outgoing Proxes CF2, Toyo claims these Proxes Comfort are capable of delivering up to 8% shorter dry braking distance, and perhaps an even more impressive 13% shorter wet braking distance, reinforcing its safety-focused brief.

The Proxes Comfort is aimed primarily at B-, C- and E-segment vehicles, with sizes ranging from 16- to 19-inch rim diameters. To suit the increasing number of electrified vehicles on the roads today too, most variants of this tyre carry Extra Load (XL) ratings to better support the higher weight of BEVs, HEVs and PHEVs.
Of the 14 sizes currently offered, 11 are classified as EV-ready, with Toyo rating both ride comfort and noise suppression at a full 5 out of 5. Recommended retail prices for the Proxes Comfort currently starts from RM 279 and go up to RM 698, depending on size.

Incidentally, the Proxes Comfort has also earned international recognition, picking up a “Good” rating in the 2025 Auto Bild summer tyre test. The publication praised its strong resistance to aquaplaning, short braking distances and overall value for money.
