This Perodua Myvi Has Taken Off-Street Parking To The Next Level

This Myvi here has shown for the king of the road to have since decided to forge its own path off-road.

Back when a majority of Malaysian neighbourhoods were first developed, it would be a rarity to see a household have more than one car. The opposite however is likely more true in these more prosperous present days, where it is instead rarer to see a house that only has one car parked within it.

And unfortunately here, as these tamans have remained much the same as they were back then, the streets outside these typically one-car lot houses has now become overflowing with all these additional cars. In fact, this chronic lack of off-street parking has gotten so bad that there were actually considerations by a certain town council not too long ago to start fining people for parking their cars on the road outside their houses.

Handily, that particular case has since died down somewhat with no further action seemingly taken at the end of the day. Though it does nevertheless appear that at least one person still isn’t keen on taking any chances on getting fined, with the driver of this particular grey first-gen Myvi here electing (likely not entirely voluntarily) to park the car deep into the bushes than on the street.

Now details of exactly how this Myvi ended up being stuck in the foliage is thus far still somewhat of a mystery, but it can be reasonably assumed that the most likely lost control of the vehicle before binning it into the bushes. The fact that this P-stickered Perodua is stuffed quite deep does also point to it having travelling at quite a lick, in order to mount quite the gnarly curb before eventually parking itself among the greenery.

Fortunately, it appeared that no one was injured as a result of this Myvi’s off-roading escapade. The only damage inflicted here on this property in Taman Petaling were to supposedly be a fallen fence and a few broken plant pots, with both the car and the driver’s pride having likely suffered a light bit of breakage too.

As cars don’t exactly make for the fence ornaments, it should be worth repeating then that speeding in built up areas is a big no-no. Though it is perhaps a wonder that this Myvi can even manage to carry sufficient speed manage this feat in today’s crowded taman streets, guess they don’t call it the king of the road for no reason after all huh?
