Puspakom Glenmarie & Batu Caves Now Open 7 Days A Week

Puspakom has also indicated that its Johor and Penang outlets will soon be open daily as well.
Puspakom has announced that its vehicle inspection centres in Glenmarie and Batu Caves will begin operating seven days a week starting 26 July 2025. This move is part of a three-month pilot programme aimed at enhancing customer convenience and reducing peak-time congestion at its busy Klang Valley branches.
The decision to extend operating days follows encouraging feedback from a previous daily service trial at the Glenmarie centre, which took place back in 2024. According to Puspakom Chief Executive Officer Mahmood Razak Bahman, many vehicle owners, especially working adults, find it difficult to schedule inspections during standard weekday hours. “We understand that weekends are often the only available time for many customers. This is part of our commitment to provide more accessible and customer-centric services,” he said.
Pending the success of this trial period, Puspakom intends to gradually roll out the seven-day operational model to other high-traffic centres across Malaysia, with Penang and Johor Bahru next in line. The goal is to make vehicle inspection services more flexible and responsive to customer needs, while reducing wait times during peak periods.
The seven-day operating model is also a key component of Puspakom’s ongoing transformation plan, which includes major investments in digitalisation and operational upgrades. Among these enhancements is the continuous improvement of its proprietary Computer Aided Vehicle Inspection System (CAVIS), along with the integration of artificial intelligence (AI) technologies to improve diagnostic accuracy and inspection speed.
In support of Malaysia’s Low Carbon Mobility Blueprint 2021–2030, Puspakom is also preparing to introduce dedicated electric vehicle (EV) inspection lanes. These future-ready lanes are expected to cater to the rising number of EVs on Malaysian roads, ensuring the company remains aligned with the country’s sustainability and green mobility targets.
“These innovations reflect our readiness to meet both current and future regulatory standards,” Mahmood said. “We are committed to delivering a faster, smarter, and more efficient vehicle inspection experience.”
With over 31 years of service as Malaysia’s national vehicle inspection provider, Puspakom currently operates 53 permanent centres, 30 visit sites, and 50 mobile units across the country. The company performs over four million inspections annually, with all examiners certified by the Road Transport Department (JPJ) and adhering strictly to its standards.
“This new seven-day service initiative is a natural step in our evolution,” Mahmood added. “By expanding our operating hours, we are expanding what Malaysians can expect from Puspakom — a world-class inspection service that puts customer convenience, technological innovation, and national development at the forefront.”
