Mercedes-AMG GLA 35 4MATIC has been released in Malaysia as a locally assembled model now. Mercedes-Benz have improved their lineup in Malaysia with this AMG and the other newly launched Mercedes-AMG A 35 4MATIC.
Under the bonnet, these new AMG’s boast a 2.0-litre four-cylinder turbo engine that delivers 306hp and 400Nm of torque. With the Mercedes-AMG specific 4MATIC all-wheel drive system, it accomplishes 0-100km/h in 5.2 seconds for the GLA 35. The AMG RIDE CONTROL suspension and the AMG DYNAMIC SELECT in both vehicles guarantee a powerful yet comfortable drive.
The Mercedes-AMG GLA 35 4MATIC‘s assertive exterior design makes a clear statement and reveals at first glance that it belongs to the distinctive AMG family. The signature AMG radiator grille with vertical louvres and the signature AMG front apron with front splitter and lateral louvres featuring silver chrome trim immediately underscores the self-assured, dynamic character of the Mercedes-AMG GLA 35 4MATIC.
The exterior is also sportier now, with 20-inch AMG 5-twin-spoke light-alloy wheels painted in matte black with high-sheen rim finish and the door panels with inserts in silver chrome.
The sporty look and features continue in the interior as well. Similar to the AMG A 35 4MATIC, this AMG model also has ARTICO man-made leather and DINAMICA microfiber in black with an addition to the AMG Performance steering wheel in nappa leather.
The new addition to the Mercedes-Benz Malaysia portfolio also includes folding rear seat backrests, and the THERMOTRONIC automatic climate control for an even more relaxed drive. The Mercedes-AMG GLA 35 4MATIC features the Light & Sight package and as standard, the 64-colour ambient lighting with an auto-dimming interior mirror and driver’s exterior mirror function.
The vehicle is further enhanced with the AMG lettering illuminated with an exchangeable cover, AMG floor mats and a stowage compartment in the centre console with a retractable cover.
Safety features are as expected from Mercedes-Benz. They include the parking package with a 360-degree camera, Active Parking Assist with PARKTRONIC, the Lane Tracking Package, Blind Spot Assist, Active Lane Keeping Assist, Exit Warning Assist, and Active Brake Assist. Keyless-go comfort package with hands-free access is also included as standard.
The Mercedes-AMG GLA 35 4MATIC is priced at RM 363,888.00 for bookings made after 1 July 2022, which is when the sales tax exemption ends. The SUV is available in Polar White, Cosmos Black, Iridium Silver, Mountain Grey and Denim Blue.
