Power goes through a three-speed hybrid transmission. The system does not require external charging and can operate in EV mode at speeds of up to 80 km/h under suitable conditions.

The Hybrid+ accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in 8.7 seconds. MG lists fuel consumption at 4.7 litres per 100 km, with a claimed range of up to 870 km. It uses a 41-litre fuel tank.
