Here Are The Winners Of GWM Malaysia’s Haval H6 Fuel Efficiency Challenge
Koh Hui Min from Kelantan secures the win by going 1,204 km on a single tank in their GWM Haval H6 HEV.
The first round of GWM Malaysia’s ‘Drive Further, Win Bigger’ GWM HAVAL H6 HEV Fuel Efficiency Challenge has recently concluded, and the champion this time is Koh Hui Min from Kelantan, who has managed to drive their hybrid SUV a whopping 1,204 km on just one full tank of petrol!
Here below are the top six challengers in this competition. Note that all 6 managed to travel over 1,000 km on just a single full tank with their Haval H6 HEV.

The ‘Drive Further, Win Bigger’ GWM HAVAL H6 HEV Fuel Efficiency Challenge, which ran from 20th January to 9th February 2025, invited owners to test their SUVs’ potential. The challenge aimed to demonstrate the SUV’s real-world performance under optimal driving conditions while pushing the boundaries of fuel efficiency. The champion’s impressive mileage stands as a testament to GWM’s commitment to delivering sustainable, high-performing, and innovative vehicles in the local automotive market.
As for other current Haval H6 HEV owners who think they can top 1,206 km on a single tank meanwhile, the second round of this challenge has started from 17th February to 9th March 2025, with the top 6 winners having a chance to win a petrol card worth RM 1 for every 1 km of mileage. Launched locally late last year, the Haval H6 HEV is currently priced at RM139,800.
Under the hood of the Haval H6 HEV is a 1.5-litre turbocharged four-pot and two-speed Dedicated Hybrid Transmission (DHT) pairing, which makes the headlines from it outputting a combined 243 PS and a whopping 530 Nm of torque. This thus enables it to claim a class-leading century sprint time of 7.7 seconds, while also touting the possibility of 1,000 km between fill ups (of its 61-litre tank) from its fuel consumption figure of just 5.8 l/100 km.
