Get Rewarded For NOT Driving Your EV With Allianz General

Enjoy up to 15% off cashback on your insurance premium with the new Allianz EV EcoMiles program.
While it is true that the greenest journey is the one not taken, Allianz General now wants to reward those who take that saying to heart with actual cash. The insurer has just launched its new Allianz Electric Vehicle (EV) EcoMiles benefit programme, which gives low-mileage EV drivers tangible cash rewards for driving less.
Under this programme, policyholders who insure their EVs under an Allianz Private Car Comprehensive policy for private use can earn up to 15% cashback on their insurance premiums by activating the EV EcoMiles benefit via the MyAllianz app at no extra cost.
Reward tiers under Allianz EV EcoMiles:
- Tier 1: Customers with an annual mileage of up to 10,000 km receive 15% of their net basic premium (after No Claim Discount).
- Tier 2: Customers driving between 10,001 km and 15,000 km per year receive 10% of their net basic premium (after No Claim Discount).
To qualify, policyholders must activate the Allianz EV EcoMiles benefit within 30 days of their policy’s effective date through the MyAllianz mobile app. They will then need to submit their odometer reading and vehicle photos within 14 days before or after the policy expiry date. Once verified, the cash reward will be credited directly to their account.
“With Allianz EV EcoMiles, we are supporting our customers’ green initiatives and rewarding them for their sustainable choices,” said Allianz General Chief Executive Officer, Sean Wang. “Driving a BEV is already one step towards reducing carbon emissions. Now, whether you’re a remote worker or a weekend-only driver, Allianz EV EcoMiles rewards you even further.”
“This initiative reflects our commitment to recognising and supporting our customers’ lifestyles while encouraging environmentally friendly practices. By offering tangible rewards for low mileage and BEV usage, we aim to empower our customers to make sustainable choices that benefit them as well as the environment,” Sean added.
As an added bonus, Allianz General is also offering complimentary RM100 EV charging credits for a limited time. Customers who insure their BEVs under an Allianz Private Car Comprehensive policy between 29 September and 31 October 2025, activate the EV EcoMiles benefit within 30 days of their policy’s start date, and provide valid contact details during purchase will qualify.
Eligible customers will receive a redemption code via email, which can be used to claim the complimentary credit through the ChargEV app by Yinson Greentech.
