GAC Kicks Off Its Local Retail Offensive With 9 New Dealerships

These 9 new GAC dealerships spread across 6 states will open by the first half of 2024.

Ahead of the imminent launch of its GS3 Enzoom compact crossover and Aion Y Plus all-electric MPV over here, GAC has pre-emptively kicked off its local retail offensive by announcing the imminent opening of 9 new dealerships nationwide.

An announcement that was marked by an official signing ceremony at its premiere showroom in Petaling Jaya’s Section 13, the opening of these 9 subsequent dealerships across six states in Peninsula Malaysia will form the anchor to GAC Motor Malaysia sales and aftersales network, and comes as part of local distribution partner WTC Automotif’s strategy to further ‘strengthen the Chinese automaker’s presence in Malaysia’s automotive industry’.

The nine GAC dealerships that are set to open by the first half of 2024 are as follows:

Selangor

  • Cyberjaya: Evolution Autotech Sdn Bhd
  • Setia Alam: Motion Beyond Sdn Bhd
  • Balakong: SV Auto Selection Sdn Bhd

Kedah

  • Alor Setar: Gem Utara Sdn Bhd
  • Sungai Petani: Mercu Usaha Automobile Sdn Bhd

Penang

  • Juru: Ju Brothers Motor Sdn Bhd

Negeri Sembilan

  • Seremban: Klinik Kereta Tampin Sdn Bhd

Pahang

  • Kuantan: Kuantan Motor Sdn Bhd

“We are excited to welcome these 9 esteemed dealerships to be part of our growing team,” said Tan Keng Meng, Group Chief Executive Officer of Warisan TC Holdings Berhad. Their expertise and dedication to excellence align perfectly with our values, and together, we are poised to offer an enhanced automotive experience to customers across Malaysia.”

“We are immensely grateful to our valued dealer partners who have stood by us with unwavering support and confidence. This new dealership appointment symbolises GAC Motor Malaysia’s relentless pursuit of brand excellence and brand reach in Malaysia. We will continue intensifying investments to further grow our network and expand customer touchpoints to ensure exceptional customer experience journeys, including those in East Malaysia,” Tan added.

GAC looks to have grand plans for Malaysia, with their local model lineup looking to keep pace with their nationwide dealership count. Such his as aside from the soon-to-launch rather stylish GS3 Enzoom compact crossover and Aion S fully-electric MPV, there is also hints for the Chinese automaker to be bringing in their Emkoo CR-V rival as well as a Model 3 alternative, in the form of the Aion S Plus.
