Ahead of the imminent launch of its GS3 Enzoom compact crossover and Aion Y Plus all-electric MPV over here, GAC has pre-emptively kicked off its local retail offensive by announcing the imminent opening of 9 new dealerships nationwide.

An announcement that was marked by an official signing ceremony at its premiere showroom in Petaling Jaya’s Section 13, the opening of these 9 subsequent dealerships across six states in Peninsula Malaysia will form the anchor to GAC Motor Malaysia sales and aftersales network, and comes as part of local distribution partner WTC Automotif’s strategy to further ‘strengthen the Chinese automaker’s presence in Malaysia’s automotive industry’.

The nine GAC dealerships that are set to open by the first half of 2024 are as follows:

  • Cyberjaya: Evolution Autotech Sdn Bhd
  • Setia Alam: Motion Beyond Sdn Bhd

Such his as aside from the soon-to-launch rather stylish GS3 Enzoom compact crossover and Aion S fully-electric MPV, there is also hints for the Chinese automaker to be bringing in their Emkoo CR-V rival as well as a Model 3 alternative, in the form of the Aion S Plus.
