Ford Tops Off Its Local Everest Lineup With A New WildTrak Trim

This new top-of-the-line Ford Everest WildTrak retails from RM 338,888 in Peninsula Malaysia.

Aside from launching a new Platinum variant of its Ranger, Ford has also recently debuted a new WildTrak version for its Everest locally. Set to be the new flagship trim with this 7-seat SUV, this latest addition to the lineup brings with it a more rugged exterior aesthetic and an equally adventure-y interior design.

Now kicking off first with the exterior enhancements, the Everest Wildtrak mimics the aesthetic of its similarly-named pickup counterpart by introducing a new vibrant Luxe Yellow hue that comes complete with Boulder Grey accents. New too on the outside of this particular variant are a set of raised roof rails up top and dual-tone 20-inch alloy wheels down below, which is then rounded off by a black Wildtrak emblem that is prominently displayed on the leading edge of its bonnet.

Moving on inside meanwhile, this particular variant nets black synthetic-leather seats decorated with orange stitching. The ‘WildTrak’ logo also makes an appearance on the front  pair of electrically adjustable seats too.

Befitting of the top spec variant too, this WildTrak follows on from the Titanium trim by offering the same 12-inch multi-touch screen multi-function display and 12.4″ color information display on the cluster. Standard as well within this particular version of Everest are interior ambient lighting, 8 speakers, a Qi wireless charging pad and a full-suite of advanced driver assist systems that include a (very handy for this massive SUV) fully automated parking assist feature.

In terms of performance on the other hand, the WildTrak nets the same 2.0-litre twin-turbocharged four-cylinder diesel that outputs 210 PS and 500 Nm of torque as previously seen on the other Everest variants. Similarly, this oil burner is then paired with a 10-speed automatic transmission and an electronically-controlled four-wheel drive system with six selectable drive modes: Normal, Eco, Tow/Haul, Slippery, Mud/Ruts, and Sand.

Sold locally with a three-year, 100,000 km manufacturer’s warranty that is augmented with a two-year, 60,000 km extended warranty, prices for the Everest WildTrak starts from RM 338,888 in Peninsular Malaysia and RM 342,388 in East Malaysia. Or to put it in another way, RM 30,000 more over the already rather well-equipped Titanium variant for a slightly more rugged look and some different interior upholstery.

“We are thrilled to mark another milestone with the launch of the new top model in the Everest variants. Ford has always been committed to developing must-have SUVs with unprecedented features, and the Everest WildTrak is no exception. With its brand-new, tougher look and a range of exciting design elements, this SUV is sure to turn heads on the road. Our customers can look forward to experiencing the next level of comfort, convenience, and style with the Special Edition Ford Everest WildTrak,” said DJ Simpson, Managing Director, Ford Asia Pacific Distributor Markets.
