Federal Auto Opens Its First Jaecoo Dealership At Menara MBMR

Jaecoo joins the Federal Auto local distribution portfolio alongside Volkswagen and Volvo.

While perhaps best known for its local distribution of Volvos and Volkswagens (F.A Wagen), Federal Auto Group has since also recently expanded to begin selling Jaecoos over here.

This subsidiary of MBM Resources Berhad has recently partnered with this newly-arrived Chinese marque, with this collaboration resulting in the opening of a new Jaecoo showroom at the ground floor of Menara MBMR. This new retail outlet currently operates under FA Sino Premium Sdn. Bhd, with it being open daily from 9.00 a.m. to 6.00 p.m.

Now incidentally, it is worth noting here too that this particular retail space in Menara MBMR appears to only be a stop-gap solution. Such is as the official first Jaecoo outlet of Federal Auto’s will be located in Jalan Segambut, but that 4S centre is apparently to only be operational come 2025.

“Locating our first Jaecoo showroom here in Menara MBMR is going back to our roots where Federal Auto started selling cars in KL at this prestigious location in 1970” said Ms. Wong Fay Lee, Chairman of Federal Auto. “With many years of experience in the Premium market, Federal Auto is well-positioned to cater to customers’ needs, ensuring both excellent sales and aftersales services.”

“Jaecoo’s distinctive position as a challenger SUV brand, paired with Federal Auto’s legacy as an experienced premium auto retailer, is a winning synergy. This strategic partnership is firmly rooted in our shared passion for excellence and long-term growth. Together, we are excited to raise the bar in delivering a truly premium ownership experience to benefit customers,” said Jaecoo Malaysia Vice President, Emily Lek.

Jaecoo as a brand had only arrived in Malaysia last month, with its J7 being the debut model over here. This locally-assembled Chinese SUV lands over here in either front- or four-wheel drive flavours, priced at RM138,800 and RM148,800 respectively.
