BYD Sime Motors brought together more than 800 BYD owners, staff, partners and management for a two-day AllStar Legends event in Kuala Lumpur, described as the largest BYD owners gathering in Malaysia.
Held on 2 and 3 October, the event featured former Premier League and international football players including Steven Gerrard, Michael Owen, Ryan Giggs, Alessandro Del Piero, Dida and Javier Saviola.
The football legends took part in several activities throughout the weekend, including meet-and-greet sessions, a Legends Talk, Gala Dinner and the AllStar Legends football match at the Malaysia International Trade and Exhibition Centre (MITEC).
The event began on 2 October, with the visiting footballers touring Kuala Lumpur before making appearances at BYD Glenmarie and BYD TREC Kuala Lumpur. The players travelled between locations using BYD vehicles.
BYD owners and their families were also given opportunities to meet the former footballers and attend activities held throughout the two-day event.
One of the activities involved children from selected BYD-owning families serving as official player mascots. The children walked onto the pitch alongside the football legends before the AllStar Legends match.
The gathering also provided an opportunity for BYD owners to meet other members of the local BYD community and take part in activities outside their usual vehicle ownership experience.
The AllStar Legends event was organised as part of BYD Sime Motors’ efforts to create activities for its customer community beyond vehicle ownership. The programme brought together BYD customers, their families and partners alongside international football personalities.
The event comes as BYD Sime Motors continues to expand its presence in Malaysia, with the company representing BYD vehicles in the local market.
According to BYD Sime Motors, the AllStar Legends weekend was intended to give owners and their families access to the football legends while providing a gathering point for the wider BYD community.
