Enjoy a Ford Ranger WildTrak or Raptor now with up to RM 6,000 in cash rebates.
To those who have their eye set on a Ranger Raptor, or even its equally impressive WildTrak counterpart, you may be in luck as Sime Darby Auto ConneXion (SDAC), the sole distributor of Ford in Malaysia is offering cash rebates of up to RM 6,000 on these aforementioned variants of pickup trucks.
More specifically though, it is only the WildTrak is eligible for the full RM 6,000 rebate amount. The Ranger Raptor meanwhile is offered with only a cash rebate of up to RM 5,000.
It is worth noting too that these rebates are only on offer for the 2020 model year Rangers. Meaning that customers who partake in this promotional campaign that is running conjunction with the upcoming Chinese New Year will not be able to enjoy the new 5-year factory warranty plan that was recently announced.
Speaking more about the pickups in question, the Ranger WildTrak features a 2.0-liter twin-turbocharged four-cylinder that is mated to a 10-speed automatic transmission. The city gent’s pickup truck if you would, this particular spec of Ranger also features a rather comprehensive list of active safety tech like Autonomous Emergency Braking with Vehicle and Pedestrian Detection, Forward Collision Warning, Lane Departure Warning and Semi-Automatic Parallel Parking.
As for the more Ranger Raptor, it features much the same powertrain and tech as its city-slicker counterpart. What is special here about this desert-racing inspired pickup however is the off-road enhancements like a Fox Racing Shox suspension system and Baja driving mode, not to mention additional sporty touches like the body-contoured sport seats, paddle shifters and Raptor-branded steering wheel.
Before the rebates, the Ranger Raptor retails from RM 210,888, while the WildTrak variant costs significantly less at RM 152,888. More details regarding this promotional campaign can be found in the press release below.
