Nissan Motor’s Launches First International Performance Centre
NISMO’s first performance centre outside Japan launches in Australia

NISMO has officially opened its first Performance Centre outside Japan, with the new facility located at Ferntree Gully Nissan in Victoria, Australia.
The opening of the NISMO Performance Centre Melbourne marks the first step in Nissan’s planned expansion of the performance brand in Australia. It is intended to give local customers and Nissan enthusiasts greater access to NISMO products, technical expertise, heritage parts and vehicle restoration services.

The centre also establishes a direct connection between Australian customers and NISMO’s Omori Factory in Japan. It will support advanced vehicle restoration programmes and provide access to authentic NISMO performance and heritage parts.
The facility will be staffed by factory-certified NISMO Meisters, who will draw on NISMO’s technical knowledge and expertise in motorsport and performance vehicles.
The Australian expansion is part of a wider global push for NISMO. Nissan Motorsports & Customizing Co., Ltd. (NMC) and Nissan Oceania announced plans for a multi-phase rollout in Australia earlier this year, with additional NISMO Performance Centres scheduled to open from 2027.
The Melbourne centre will also provide support for NISMO’s growing heritage and restoration activities. In December 2025, NISMO announced plans to expand its global restoration, restomod and parts businesses, initially focusing on the Nissan Skyline GT-R R32, R33 and R34.
The wider strategy is aimed at making NISMO’s performance and heritage ecosystem more accessible in international markets. This includes performance parts and accessories, technical support, restoration work and customer experiences.
NISMO’s expansion follows the formation of NMC in 2022 through the integration of Nissan’s motorsports and customisation subsidiaries. The company brought together NISMO’s motorsport and performance expertise with AUTECH’s vehicle customisation capabilities.
For Australia, the new Performance Centre provides a local point of access to NISMO’s global operations and its motorsport-derived performance and heritage services.
Additional centres are expected to follow as part of the phased rollout from 2027, expanding NISMO’s presence across Australia and bringing more of its products and services to Nissan performance enthusiasts.
