Mercedes-AMG GT 63 PRO Arrives in Malaysia From RM2.09 Million

Mercedes-Benz Malaysia has unveiled the new Mercedes-AMG GT 63 PRO 4MATIC+ Coupé and previewed the all-new Mercedes-AMG GT 63 4-Door Coupé in Kuala Lumpur as part of its celebration of Formula 1’s return to Malaysia.

The new AMG GT 63 PRO 4MATIC+ Coupé is powered by a 4.0-litre V8 biturbo petrol engine producing 450 kW (612 hp) and 850 Nm of torque. Power is sent through an AMG SPEEDSHIFT MCT 9G transmission and the AMG Performance 4MATIC+ all-wheel-drive system.

The coupe can accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in 3.2 seconds, reach 200 km/h in 10.9 seconds and achieve a top speed of 317 km/h. Its estimated starting price in Peninsular Malaysia is RM2,088,888.

Compared with the standard AMG GT 63, the PRO variant produces an additional 20 kW (27 hp) and 50 Nm of torque. Mercedes-AMG has also upgraded its cooling system to handle higher loads, adding radiators in the front wheel arches and improving cooling for the drivetrain and differentials.

Aerodynamic changes include a revised front apron, additional carbon-fibre air deflectors, an active underbody aerodynamic profile and a fixed rear wing. These modifications reduce front-axle aerodynamic lift by more than 30 kg while increasing rear-axle downforce by around 15 kg.

The car also comes with an AMG ceramic high-performance braking system, featuring six-piston front callipers and 420 mm front brake discs. Other equipment includes 21-inch forged wheels, AMG Performance seats, carbon-fibre interior trim, a 12.3-inch driver display and an 11.9-inch central touchscreen.

Mercedes-AMG is also offering a Motorsport Collectors Edition limited to 200 units worldwide. Based on the GT 63 PRO, it features black paintwork with PETRONAS-coloured accents, unique forged wheels and additional carbon-fibre components. Its listed price in Malaysia is RM2,588,888.

Alongside the V8-powered coupe, Mercedes-Benz Malaysia provided a preview of the all-new AMG GT 63 4-Door Coupé, which uses the AMG.EA electric vehicle architecture.

The fully electric model features three axial-flux motors producing up to 860 kW (1,169 hp), supported by an 800-volt electrical system and a specially developed battery with directly cooled cylindrical cells. DC charging is supported at up to 350 kW.

The electric four-door also features AMG Performance 4MATIC+ all-wheel drive, active rear-axle steering, adjustable air suspension and an advanced aerodynamic package. Inside, it gets a 10.2-inch instrument cluster, a 14-inch central display and a separate 14-inch passenger display.

Mercedes-Benz Malaysia also announced an invitation-only Mercedes-AMG F1 Party at Raintree Plaza, The Exchange TRX, on 30 September to mark Formula 1’s return to Malaysia.
