The Volkswagen ID.Aura T6 is the brands newest car for specifically the Chinese market. The mid-sized SUV measures at 4811mm length, 1879mm width and 1648mm height with a 2836mm wheelbase. The exterior features a closed front end with thin running light units and headlights integrated into the front bumper. It also has an active air intake. Other features include semi-hidden door handles, a roof-mounted LiDAR, and a single taillight unit.
It adopts a single electric motor in the rear axle with a peak power output of 170 kW (228 hp). There are two LFP battery options for 59.9 and 77.5 kWh, suitable for 540 – 660 km of CLTC range. The entry-level ID. Aura T6 speeds up to 100 km/h in 7.2 seconds and a top speed of 186 km/h.
The minimalistic interior features a 15.6-inch floating touchscreen, a 10.25-inch LCD instrument cluster, and a 25.8-inch augmented reality head-up display. Its infotainment system is powered by a 4nm chip with a peak computing power of 20 TOPS.
The car also supports wireless Apple CarPlay, HiCar, and Carlink functions. It also features a 50W wireless charger and a large-diameter two-spoke steering wheel. There’s even two cupholders for all your drinks.
The trunk has a 576-litre volume and reaches 1,796-litres of volume with the back chairs folded down. If that’s not enough the car also features a 90-litre storage space hidden under the cars hood. Other features of the cabin include 18 Aura Sound speakers and heated, ventilated & massaged front seats.
The ID.Aura T6 costs between USD19K to USD25K. It is one of Volkswagen’s many NEVs for the Chinese market.
